Another Sunday: GTKY

I’ve done this once before and am doing it again since so many of you enjoyed it before! It’s been a crazy couple of weeks with our move and all, but I am trying to make time to post and be online! Answer the Getting to Know you questions and then link up to Mannland5
So here are the questions:
1. If a person has a booger in their nose and you can see it, do you tell them?
If they are a close friend or family member, hell yeah!! “There’s a bat in the cave!!” That’s how I do it! As far as a stranger, acquaintance, etc…ehhh it would just be too uncomfortable for all parties involved if it was mentioned!
2. What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about being a good person. I have learned a lot about my past and the mistakes I made, the person who I didn’t want to be. I try to do good unto others, as I hope they will me. I will go out of my way to do a good deed just to make myself feel good and hope someone will do the same for me later. If I don’t have something nice to say, well I usually won’t say it. I am who I am, I don’t make up stuff to “impress” others…I am not fake..I’m just me. That being said if any of my friends ever need me, I will be there, no matter what, even at 4am! (It just better be a damn good reason!)
3. How long have you been blogging?
I started blogging the beginning of 2010. It was one of my New Year resolutions. I really enjoy it 🙂
4. What is your favorite “summer” drink?
It would definitely have to be Sweet Tea. I make a pitcher of it at least once a week. Other than that, maybe a nice sweet white wine on a nice Summer evening. I don’t drink much, maybe once every 3 months, so that would be on a rare occasion.
5. What is your favorite type of music?
I would have to say either 80s or Classic Rock…there’s just something about it that none of the music today even can compare to it. It just puts me in a good mood, and well, I like dancing to it.
6. Something I do before I go to bed is…?
I always check on my baby girl, make sure she is breathing and covered up for the evening…I always place her teddy beside her too if she isn’t already cuddling it. I also check the locks, turn the ac down to 72, and turn out all lights. The last thing I want to do is to crawl into bed, get all comfy and realize I forgot to do one of those things…I do all those every night, in that order.
7. My summer vacation plans are…?
As of right now we aren’t really going to do much. We usually take our vacation in the Winter. We go to NC for Christmas for two weeks. We just moved to Jackson, MS from Tampa, FL as my husband got a new job. We will be taking a few weekend trips to New Orleans and Memphis, as they are both only 3 hours from where we live.
8. My favorite must have, can’t live without, beauty product is?
Hands down, BioSilk Silk Therapy leave in treatment for my hair. It makes my hair not frizz, which is a must have when living with such humid conditions and long hair. It smells amazing as well. It is quite pricey though, but does last a while. Purchase BioSilk here
Well that’s it for my post this evening….time to get some beauty rest, the Lord knows I need it! 🙂
Later this week I hope to get to my first product review that I received free in the mail to review!!

Game Day Recipe: Make Your Own Italian Sub Boats #OEPBigGame

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Walmart/Old El Paso. All opinions are those of our own. Game Day is just around the corner and I recently was perusing around Walmart looking for ideas for recipes for the Big Game. I'm a huge fan of Old El Paso products, and I have used them for years. Of course using them for the normal things like tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and more, I came up with an idea to make Italian Sub Boats with the Whole Wheat … [Read More...]
