Walking in Memphis

This past weekend we went on a little family get away to Memphis, TN. We originally had planned on going to Hot Springs, AR, but our plans changed and decided to go somewhere closer. Memphis is 3 hours North of us, which getting there turned into a 4.5 hour trip because it was storming all the way there. We had a wonderful time and we plan on going back again in September when my mother comes to visit. I am excited to hit up Graceland and the Children’s Museum 🙂
While we were there we hit up a few famous places to eat. We hit up Rendezvous, which was featured on Man V. Food for there “amazing” ribs (they weren’t that great) and we also hit up The Arcade for breakfast, which is the oldest restaurant in Memphis and was featured on the Travel Channel. They had, by far, the BEST french toast I have ever had. Next time we are going to Kooky Canucks, which is also known as Big Foot Lodge and it was featured on Man V. Food as well. They have a 6 lb cheeseburger!

The Mississippi River is beautiful and Beale Street was full of life…blues music was in the air, and I had a Bud Light Lime in my hand. I rarely drink, but since it was a special occasion and all…
