Elmo Loot and Goody Bags – Sesame Street

Elmo Birthday Party

I have been trying to do my daughters 2nd birthday party as cheap as I can, all while making it super cute. She LOVES Elmo, so that is the theme this year. I am going to attempt to make Elmo cupcakes, so I figured I would make Elmo bags to match!
I bought plain red gift bags at Hobby Lobby, they were 2 for $1. I have to have loot bags for 5 kids age 1-3. I cut out 10 circles for the eyes and colored in small black circles with a marker. I cut out an orange nose out of scrapbook paper, and a mouth out of black glitter scrapbook paper.
I bought 5 Abby Cadabby Coloring Books for 25 cents a piece, $1.25
5 packs of crayons for 20 cents, $1.00
3 packs of Crayola sidewalk chalk with 2 packs of 4 in each one, for 26 cents a piece, $1.04
6 crazy straws for $1.00
5 packs of Elmo stickers 50 cents a piece, $2.50
So with the cost of the bags and all the loot, it was around $9 for 5 kids, and it’s all stuff that they can use instead of the usual junk the comes in loot bags!

You can do these as Cookie Monster and I’m sure other characters very easily as well!
