How to Get Free Items & High Value Coupons

The other night I couldn’t sleep and I thought about a few months back when I had wrote a few emails to some companies complimenting them on their products and how many great coupons I got. You can see that post here.
Anyways so I sat down and went through my head about products that we use, that I hadn’t written to previously. All you have to do is go to the webpage of a brand you like, and find a contact us button, or even an email address. Then just tell them a personal story about you like a certain product.
For example, I had been meaning to get Delilah a Kids Powered Toothbrush but I keep forgetting and she has been asking for one since I have a Sonicare toothbrush. I wrote Colgate and told them that. I also told them I loved all of their products and I asked for coupons. They sent me a coupon to get a FREE Colgate Powered Toothbrush.
Here is a list of what I got in one mailing today….I can’t WAIT to see tomorrow’s mail!!

I would say that it took me about an hour to write all of these companies and I have to say it was definitely well worth it. I will say that not everyone you write will send you coupons either. If I have to guess I would say about 8 out of 10 companies actually send coupons. Others will just tell you to print them off of their website. I took a picture of all my coupons so you could see!! Let me know what you get when you do it!

  1. I have been meaning to do this – I think this will be a good project the week between Christmas and the New Year! Thank you for the reminder!

  2. This sounds like a great idea, there are plenty of products i would love to use but they are so expensive! I have a question about the process; if you email them a letter, will they send the coupons by post or email them? I do not have a printer, so it would be a waste for them to email coupons.
    Thank you!!

  3. samantha says:

I tried to go to the link for the post and it said access denied, must be invited. Can you invite me

  4. How do you email these people though do you just go to there website or what do you do?

  5. Thanks for these tips. I just thought of a product that I use that I never see coupons for so I am going to try and get a coupon for it.

  6. Ok, I have sent many emails to companies, some I have got coupons from, some not, but I have used all the coupons I have gotten, should I send emails to them again? Curious!

  7. Crissy sloan says:

Just wanted to ask a silly question. Am I the only one that has trouble using coupons at dollar tree? Even after the “manager” ok’d them, I ended up paying for my whole purchase without using any of my coupons. Everything matched up except one 30 cent off coupon for Irish spring multipack. And I thought 2 or more was a multipack but they said it had to be what was on the picture. The lady was saying it wasn’t taking none of my coupons. I could have saved $10. I was a bit agitated and my husband finally said just forget them we will pay for it. But I wanted of course to save that money.
