How a woman saved her daughter from strangling in the car

I recently saw a link that a friend posted on facebook and it caught my eye. I have 2 girls of my own, ages 1 & 4, and I couldn’t imagine going through what happened to this woman. She put her 5 year old into their van, with the door open, and was talking to her friend outside of it, after about 5 minutes she realized her daughter was not jumping around or running around the parking lot as usual…she checked on her (thankfully by mothers instinct), and her daughter was being strangled by the seatbelts in the third row. Read this story, and please, keep scissors in your car/van/SUV/truck!!

    These stories scare the daylights out of me. We always have a pocketknife (my husband and I) on us just in case. And he put a crowbar in a secured place but within the drivers reach after hearing one too many stories of someone being seriously hurt or killed because they were trapped in the car. Cars are wonderful, but so dangerous!
