Recipe: Bacon Ranch Cheddar Mac n Cheese Pasta

Tonight’s recipe was fantastic, and I totally recommend making it. It’s simple, cheap, and you can make it in 20 minutes or less.
Bacon Cheddar Ranch Macaroni n Cheese Pasta

Ingredients:

2 cups of cheddar cheese
1.5 cups of milk
1lb box of pasta (I used mini penne)
2 tablespoons of flour
1/2 package of bacon and bacon fat
1 packet of dry ranch dressing mix

Directions:
In a large skillet cook the 1/2 pack of bacon, place bacon on paper towels, and keep bacon fat in pan.
In another large pot boil your pasta according to box directions for al dente pasta.
Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of flour while whisking, and sprinkle in packet of ranch.
Whisk in the milk (do all of this very fast to avoid any burning and/or lumps).
Add in cheese, and whisk together so sauce is mixed thoroughly.
Add in 1/2 of the bacon you cooked, make sure it’s chopped into small pieces.

Set sauce aside until your pasta is done.
Pour in hot pasta and toss together until coated.

Top with extra cheese and leftover bacon. You can also top with green onions for color.

Enjoy!!!

How can you go wrong with bacon and bacon fat! This is another good recipe – not low fat- but one is allowed an indulgence. At least it is easy to make. Adding the ranch dressing moves the recipe to another level. I am glad you thought of doing this.

  40. Deborah D says:

I don’t normally eat mac n cheese but this sounds so good. I will give it a try.

  41. They always seem to get the maple bacon here. You think that would mess the taste or do you think I should stick with regular bacon? I am guessing it tasting like maple wouldn’t be as good but not real sure

  46. I really enjoy mac&cheese. Ranch dressing, not at all. I like to add different cheese blends in mine. Pretty much whatever I have a taste for, and what’s in the fridge at the time.
