How To Clean Your Microwave: Easy!

This is how I always clean my microwave and it’s very very simple. All you need are three things, a damp dish cloth/sponge, a glass measuring cup, and vinegar (well and I guess a microwave).

Put a cup of vinegar in your glass cup, place in the center of microwave and heat until boiling (mine was about 1:30).
Open up the microwave, remove the cup, and immediately wipe down your microwave. I also dip my dish cloth in the hot vinegar, just a bit, the vinegar that has steamed the microwave has softened and loosened up all the yucky grime and leftover food making it SO easy to wipe out. Check out my before and after pic, and it literally took me a total of 3 minutes from start to finish!

Happy Cleaning!

  1. Thank you for this great tip. I know vinegar is good for so many things. I have got to try this

  2. Wow, this is a great idea and I will have to try it. Usually I try to wipe up any spills ASAP because it is easier to clean up when the spill is “fresh”. I will have to remember this technique for those times that I do forget to clean up right away.

  3. That is easy. I use a vinegar water mixture to mop my floors, which I have to do today. My microwave needs cleaned too. I’ll do that first, then use the vinegar to mop.

  4. This really does work. I tried it the other day and was quick and easy. No more scrubbing. Thanks for the tip!
