Missouri: Enjoy The Show

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Missouri Division of Tourism. All opinions are 100% mine.

As a family of four we are always looking for somewhere new, exciting, and interesting to go to on vacation. I was looking into some places in the US that aren’t too far from where we lived and thought, why not Missouri!? The Show Me State has so much to offer. I grew up in Southern Illinois, so I had been to St. Louis on several different occasions as a young child and I knew I wanted to go back when I had a family of my own. Looking into what Missouri has to offer, I was a bit overwhelmed. I never realized Missouri had so many great things to do.

I worked up a little itinerary for 4 days and 3 nights:

Day 1– St. Louis Zoo and the Gateway Arch, camp at Jellystone
Day 2– Six Flags St. Louis, camp at Jellystone
Day 3– Hurricane Harbor Water Park and swimming/activities JellyStone Park at Eureka
Day 4– City Museum, Butterfly Garden, and Science Center

Now let me tell you, there’s a lot more to do in Missouri than just stuff in St. Louis. I chose one area of the state as it’s easier with two kiddos in tow. There’s so much to do in Branson, Kansas City, and other areas. Missouri has 51 state parks, several water parks and amusement parks, zip lining, cave exploring, even dining and clubbing. There’s such a wide variety of attractions and things to do across the state whether you are bringing kids, or just your spouse or friends!

If I were going with a group of my girlfriends or even my spouse, I’d love to check out the Chaumette Winery for sure.

I’d LOVE to float down the Current River too!

The Show Me State has SO much to offer. Think about taking your next vacation to Missouri to Enjoy The Show!

  1. I’ve been to St. Louis, but not anywhere else in Missouri! Looks like there’s a lot to see and enjoy besides St. Louis though. I would love to visit the state parks or the wineries! Thanks for all the information!

  2. Amanda S. says:

I have never been to Missouri but you’ve made me add it to my list! Wine is a mother’s best friend sometimes! Visiting wineries outside of my state would put me in a state of pure bliss!

  3. I used to live in Missouri and loved traveling throughout the state. My favorite area of the state is Branson with all its museums, shows, outdoor activities, and amusement park.
