LakeShore Learning – My Farmer’s Market Review #HolidayGiftGuide

I contacted Lakeshore Learning recently about adding them to my Holiday Gift Guide.

They sent me this adorable My Farmers Market & Farmers Market Food Set to review on my blog.

farmersmarket1I was so excited to receive this and get it put together. The My Farmers Market is absolutely adorable and is perfect right next to any play kitchen too! When I received it, I assumed it was going to be a bit bigger than what it was, which I didn’t pay attention to the measurements, it measures 13 3/4″ x 20″ x 20 1/2″. Putting it together was pretty easy too, and only took me about 20 minutes or so.

My Farmers’ Market $49.99
Bring all the excitement of a neighborhood market into your own home! Our authentically detailed farm stand has all the features of the real thing—including 6 mini chalkboards to label produce, 6 wooden crates to display your veggies…even a shade canopy to keep foods “fresh”! Market measures 13 3/4″ x 20″ x 20 1/2″. Assembly required. Food sold separately.
Farmers’ Market Food Set $16.99
All the fresh produce kids need to set up shop at their own farmers’ market! You get 44 plastic pieces, including tomatoes, corn, lettuce, eggplant, bell peppers and carrots. Eggplant is 4 1/4″.

It’s perfect for my daughters to play with, and they are ages 2 and 5. They play with the fruits/veggies (which are sold separately) in their play kitchen, and also with their cash register and shopping cart. It’s so fun watching them play. My youngest has also learned the names of the foods as well, which is really great because she is a bit behind in vocabulary. I am ALWAYS encouraging imaginative play with both of girls. It seems technology has taken over in this world, so I really limit technology use with them.
The wooden bins are removable, as well as the name plates for the fruits/veggies. This set also comes with chalk for you to use.

I love that this set is great quality too. Everything is made built to last, and that’s always so important when having kids. I know this set will be around for awhile. It gets played with daily in our home.
