Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy Review

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Honey Bunches of Oats. All opinions are 100% mine.

For as long as I can remember, Honey Bunches of Oats has been my favorite cereal. There are a few flavors of Honey Bunches of Oats that I  buy almost every time I go grocery shopping. When I had the chance to try this NEW Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy, I was ecstatic! I received two boxes, one being Chocolatey Almond Crunch and the other Cinnamon Crunch. These cereals are packed with whole grain, protein and fiber, the combination of crispy whole grain flakes and granola clusters. Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy doesn’t sacrifice on taste to deliver a nutritious, wholesome breakfast.

My favorite is the Cinnamon Crunch. It reminds me a lot of the original Honey Bunches of Oats!  It’s very filling with great flavor. It has just the hint of cinnamon flavor which is great, because it’s not too overpowering. It smells wonderful though. A plus is, my kids liked it too! The only disappointment I had with it, is the cereal seemed to crushed up for me. I like flakes, but again that’s just a personal opinion and it all tastes just the same whether it’s crunched up or flakes!

The next flavor I tried was the Chocolatey Almond Crunch. I’m not a huge chocolate person, so having chocolate in my morning cereal really isn’t all that appealing to me. My husband and kids loved it though. It had crunchy flakes, pieces of chocolate, and almonds. It was good though, and I enjoyed a bowl of it for dinner one night, which was great. It was nice and filling.

Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy – Cinnamon Crunch and Chocolatey Almond Crunch has:

  • 6g of protein per serving; 10g protein per serving when combined with a half cup of fat free milk
  • Over 2/3 of the recommended daily intake of whole grain (35g whole grain per serving)
  • Heart Healthy (*5g of fiber per serving)
  • Four nutritious grains: wheat, rice, oats and corn

What I noticed about both cereals is they seemed more filling than regular cereals. It has a higher protein content than most other cereals so I’m sure that’s why it’s so filling!

Make sure to check out Honey Bunches of Oats on Facebook as well as on Twitter.

What flavor are you inclined to try??? Do you like chocolate in the morning? or do you like a more savory cereal, like cinnamon?

  1. love this stuff it’s amazing!

  2. The cinnamon flavor sounds like it might work for me. I’m allergic to almonds so the other wouldn’t. I’ll see if it’s on the shelf next time I’m at the grocery store.
