Mini Monet Creative Studio and Art Club for Kids App Review

Icon-72Sprite Kids just released a new kids app, Mini Monet Creative Studio and Art Club for Kids. We had the opportunity to review this with our 5 year old daughter today and she really LOVES this app. She has been playing it for a few hours without stopping. As of right now, this app is only available for the iPad on iTunes for $1.99. Your child can color coloring sheets or draw and create from a blank canvas! Mini Monet is the perfect app for your child to get in touch with their creative side!

Imagine giving unbounded creativity to a child, a new creative drawing challenge will pop up in the app every week-end, giving the kids a regular activity to do every week. It is not just an app but a safe creative environment for kids. The weekly drawing challenges are designed specifically for kids aged 6-8 years, in the challenge there are trace lines for the younger kids to inspire creativity, while the older kids are free to add their own creative touches.  Mini Monet is the only app for Kids which has Weekly Challenges, kids earn stickers ( designed for the challenge ) when they participate in the challenge. Getting creative has never been this fun!

Here are some of the great features we love:
Mini Monet is for little artists. It has a unique Magic Pencil, which helps you stay inside the lines for more fun and creativity! For example, if you draw a big circle, when you color, it will stay inside of the circle, which allows for much neater pictures and drawings.
This app is a complete art studio with anything and everything your child needs!
Brushes, Pencils, Markers, & a Paint Bucket to color with.
Create Custom Stickers and then you can save to your Art Book.
Decorate with a variety of stamps & stickers.
Blank pages for you to make your own masterpiece.
Draw & Color with different colors, patterns & glitter.
Tons of Coloring Pages, with over a 120 pages to color.
The coloring pages are categorized too, you can choose from categories such as dinosaurs, transport, kids, pets, animals, fairies, dragons, princesses, and flowers.
Your child can earn coins for coloring pages, appreciating others work, and sharing! This is a great incentive for your child to unlock more pages to color and other items from the Art Store.
Each week there are fun weekly challenges on Friday to keep your child busy, and they are age appropriate! With each new challenge your child will earn two new stickers!
All in all, this is an app I love for my 5 year old. I love that there’s more than just a few things to do for her, as well as the ability to unlock more opportunities. The other great feature is the parental controls. That is really important to me when it comes to my children. Also, this app is very thorough with so much to do compared to other apps out there. We have tried so many coloring apps and none have compared to Mini Monet. I definitely give this app 5 stars. There isn’t anything that I dislike about this app.

Download it – You can download a FREE, lite version of Mini Monet Creative Studio & Art Club for Kids Lite ~ Weekly Daily Challenge here at iTunes.

  1. This looks like a fun app. my niece would love this. Thank you for this review.

  2. Mini Monet sounds and looks wonderful. My daughter loves creative apps and I think she’d enjoy the rewards and challenges. Her favourite creative app at the moment is Mister Maker – Let’s Make It. It’s similar to Mini Monet in that you can create an unlimited amount of artwork as there’s so much to choose from. There’s a fun challenge which gives you a minute to make a picture, and she also enjoys importing photos to doodle on.

  3. I love this! Thank you so much for sharing.
