The Happiest Daughter – Keep Good Going

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of New York Life. All opinions are 100% mine.

New York Life enables you to continue the good in your life by providing life insurance and other financial products so that your children, spouse, etc. can flourish.

The “The Happiest Daughter” video tells the story of how all families experience unexpected challenges, but what’s important is making the most of it; in fact it can teach you to appreciate life even more.

When I was growing up, my mother was a single mom raising myself and my sister. My mom always tried to provide us with everything we needed and a bit more. She always made sure I was happy and we were the best of friends, she has always been there for me, through the good and the bad. I’m not sure how my mom always managed to remain positive but she did. She has created an example of who I need to be to my two daughters. There will always be challenges in life, but there are always ways to push through and be happy, to bring out the good in life.

Growing up, I didn’t have everything, I wasn’t spoiled, but I had what I needed and I had a great relationship with my mom, which made me The Happiest Daughter. Now that I’m older I make sure to be the best I can be for my girls, and we are always Celebrating Good, happy moments. My husband and I do spoil our children, but we have the means to do so whereas my mom didn’t when I was growing up. My children are happy and we both have a fantastic relationship with our girls, and to me that is the most important, it’s not about the materialistic aspect of life. Love is what’s important, and for that, our girls are happy and are very loved.

New York Life is also showing how they perpetuate the good through a digital billboard, which captures and tallies in real-time all of the moments of family good around Mother’s Day! Growing up I didn’t have everything either, I just focused on my studies and getting good grades, that was the most important thing.

I love that you were happy even though you didn’t have everything! We were the same way in my family. Good relationships are worth so much more than things.

My mom was a single mom raising me until I was seven. It is a tough job, but moms find a way. That is great that New York Life wants to honor moms.

  4. Great post. Thank you for sharing.
