About Gymboree

(As from their website)

“The Gymboree Corporation is a specialty retailer operating stores selling high-quality apparel and accessories for children under the Gymboree, Gymboree Outlet, Janie and Jack, and Crazy 8 brands, as well as play programs for children under the Gymboree Play and Music brand.

The Gymboree Corporation’s history begins with the founding of Gymboree Play & Music in 1976, making it one of the oldest companies in its field. The appeal of the Gymboree brand was so broad that in 1986 Gymboree entered the apparel business—designing, manufacturing and retailing unique, high-quality merchandise for children.”

When it comes time to shop for clothing for your baby or child, typically the first thing that parents think about its 1) Is it expensive and 2) Is it quality. There are hundreds, if not thousands of companies and small businesses who specialize in children’s clothing, but one company that always sticks out in my mind when I think of quality and affordability is Gymboree! When I found out that I was having another little boy I was ecstatic that I wouldn’t have to run out and purchase a whole new wardrobe for him having saved majority of Little Misters clothing, but I did want to get a few new outfits that were just his, so I visited the Gymboree website and started building a shopping cart! For just over $100 I was able to get 15 items (11 newborn or 0-3 month sizes, 3 items for Little Mister in sizes 3T or 4T, and a super cute blanket for Little Boy)! Talk about getting “bang for your buck”!

To Purchase: Visit Gymboree and shop their newest collections of baby and children’s clothing, and be sure to check out their sale section too!

To Win: Mommy’s Obsessions and Gymboree want to give one lucky reader a $50 Gift Card!

  1. We brought our 5 year old home in a blue/white outfit with puppies on it. I don’t have an outfit for baby #2 yet.

  2. Great contest! My first daughter came home on Fathers Day so she had a onesie that said Daddy’s Girl. My 2nd daughter had a grey and pink ladybug sleeper that belonged to my first.

  3. We put him in a teeny tiny onesie. He was so little.

  4. We didn’t find out gender so my baby wore a white and tan striped shirt that said “Mommy Loves Me”, white pants with a polar bear on the but, and a little white hat with bear ears. She was tiny, and precious, and perfect :).

  5. Megan Litchke says:

My almost 5 year old came home in an outfit his aunties bought, it was a brown and tan sleep and play with a puppy on it. We weren’t expecting him to be so little at 38 weeks, so they had to go buy some preemie outfits. My little girl who is due to arrive next month has a white dress with little blue elephants and pink flower on it, with a pink and white stripped cardigan. Oh and matching bloomers. I can’t wait to see her in it!

  6. My daughter came home in a footed pajama with pink cats on it 🙂

  7. Priscilla says:

My Sister-in-law made my daughter’s coming home outfit. It was a little lime dress with flowers that came apart in 2 pieces like a sandwich. I could lay her down on top of the bottom piece then lay the front of the dress on top of her and velcro it up. My daughter was older when she was released from the NICU but my sister-in-law made it before her birth when we found out via ultrasound that she was going to be born with a rare genetic condition called Osteogenesis Imperfeca. It causes fractures for no reason and she had many before birth. She designed the dress so we could put her in it safely without breaking her.

  8. Isabella T. says:

Well, I don’t know what my nieces and nephews’ coming home outfits looked like. We’re expecting right now and would LOVE to bring home our first born in this adorable onesie! :,)

  9. My son came home in a baby blue shirt with white pants. I even had lil shoe/socks on him. ADORABLE

  10. my daughter’s coming home outfit was a boy outfit because 3 ultrasounds told us she was a boy lol

  11. i believe it was a winnie the pooh outfit

  12. Cynthia R says:

It was a pink and white polka dotted onesie outfit and kept a blanket made for her on her.

  13. Brittany Chord says:

It was a cold day in Feb so he came home in a cute navy blue hoodie, gray shirt and navy blue pants!

  14. Vickey White says:

I am a proud Great Grandma! July 1st my granddaughter had her first child and Eliana wore home the same outfit her Grandma wore! A Pink sweater top and short pants. I kept the outfit for my daughter and she gave it to her daughter this July to use. So sweet to see her in the same outfit!

  15. omgosh! I haven’t even thought about it yet, but definitely need to start! Something fun and comfortable, all wrapped in something warm this winter.
