As a Joovy Mom, I get fun Joovy products to review for all of you and this time around I received the Joovy Scooter Stroller that was released in October 2013. For the past couple months we have had the chance to use our Joovy Scooter Stroller around town, at the park, zoo, splash pad, and even on a few trips. This is my go to stroller and has really been a lifesaver. I have reviewed quite a few different strollers and this is definitely in our top 5! Upon taking it out of the box I knew it would be super easy to put together, after all I have probably put together 15-20 strollers so at this point, I usually don’t have to look at the instructions. I didn’t have to with the Joovy Scooter either!

However, after all I am reviewing the stroller so I did take a look at the directions to make sure everything was correct. The instructions are super simple to follow with clear pictures and an understanding of how to put the Joovy Scooter together. There’s nothing worse than horrible directions that leave you questioning if you put the stroller together right or not, with these instructions from Joovy, you will have no questions about whether or not you did it right! Once I got the stroller together, which was in just about 5 to 10 minutes, of course it was time for a test drive.

The first thing I noticed about the Joovy Scooter is the easily wipeable material that they use, which is actually a durable 600D fabric. Anyone who has children knows just how important it is (and actually how messy strollers will become) to have a fabric that’s easy to wipe off or wash down. The seat liner inside the Scooter is actually double sided! You can remove the seat liner and flip it over to a nice fleece lining in the colder months. The seat itself is padded and keeps baby/toddler comfortable. Along with the comfy seat liner, there are inside pockets for your little ones favorite trinkets, snacks, or even a sippy cup!

As you can see my daughter is happy to be in the Joovy Scooter! Some of the other features we love are the adjustable handle bar. Being that my husband is 6’1″ and I’m 5’9″, we like to be comfortable when pushing the stroller around. We love that you can adjust the handlebar to where you’d like. It actually has 10 different positions! The cup holder is another great feature as well that a lot of other seats don’t have. There’s also a rear pocket in back for parent’s stuff and another mesh cup holder (which I failed to get a pic of). I like to use the rear pocket for my house keys and cell phone when we are walking around the neighborhood. The storage basket underneath also offers a large amount of storage for your diaper bag or shopping bags. The storage basket will be blocked if you have the seat reclined all the way, but there is a zippered compartment to access it if you’re little is sleeping. Last but not least, the foot brake. It’s super simple to push down with one foot and let up as well. That makes life easy when you have your hands full!

Another great feature about the Joovy Scooter is the 360-Degree Turn front wheels. This makes maneuvering super easy! Up hills, bumpy side walks, through crowds, crowded clothing stores etc, it’s a breeze to get through. I believe 360 degree turning wheels is a must have when it comes to a stroller. Another must have is a full canopy cover, which of course the Joovy Scooter has too. You can block those harmful sun rays away from your precious little one. The canopy is actually removable too, which I’m not sure why you’d remove it, but if you need to, it’s easy!

JoovyScooter5The child’s tray seen in the picture above is an optional purchase in addition to the stroller (available for $29.99), but it’s a must have! You know how hungry those little ones get and they need a snack and a drink, this allows them to store their snack and drink easily. I have found this is great when the stroller is parked like at the zoo to watch a show or a baseball game.

  3. Thanks for the review! We’re on the hunt for our stroller so this was great!

  4. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your review on the Joovy Scooter Stroller! This sounds like it’s the best stroller out there! I really do love this stroller. It seemed like your daughter loved it as well! It’s terrific that it has a cup holder in the front because toddlers do get thirsty when you are out and about! I also like the material that it’s made of that you can wash off! That’s a major plus! I know exactly what you meant when you said strollers get dirty!! Oh, they sure can! I also love the fact that the wheels turn so well! It sounds like the greatest stroller around! I am definitely done with babies (except for my grandkids now) and my daughter has a few strollers! My grand daughter gets in the stroller and her brother pushes her! sometimes that scares me a bit, not that Scarlett is tiny or anything, but Nolan has been known to have his “fits” and hit his sister. He has Asperger’s, which is supposedly the highest functioning form of autism. He has his times when you just want to scream along with him! Thanks so very much for the Great review and information on the Joovy Scooter Stroller! I truly do appreciate it! Thanks again, Michele 🙂

I really like the wheels on this stroller and how it can turn and maneuver so well! I only have the grandkids in strollers at this point in time and I don’t see them all too much! They are living on Fort Campbell in Kentucky right now. Thanks for the terrific review, the pictures, and your personal and professional information on Review: Joovy Scooter Stroller with all of us!
