Crown Toyota-Teen Driver Safety Clinic

I’m always trying to connect with my readers here in Mississippi, and I try to share everything I can that’s going on in the area. This month, Toyota is coming to Pearl, MS, which is in the Jackson Metro Area for a Teen Driving Clinic!

Motor vehicle crashes continue to be the leading cause of death among teens. Recognizing that parents play a crucial role in developing habits of their teens behind the wheel, Toyota’s program uniquely requires a parent or guardian to actively participant in the event with the teen. The teen driver experience is open to pre-drivers and new drivers with a valid driver’s license or learner’s permit.

Location and Dates: Pearl, Mississippi on Sept. 27 and 28 at Bass Pro Shops

What is the TeenDrive365 Teen Driver Experience?

-A free 2.5 hour program for newly licensed teens (and teens with learners permits) that goes beyond standard driver education classes, teaching them crash avoidance techniques and defensive driving skills, along with the dangers of distracted driving
-A program that offers parents insight into the challenges facing teen drivers and provides recommendations and countermeasures for any driving concerns they may have. It also teaches parents how to be strong driving role models and coaches for their teen drivers.
-Fully funded by Toyota and endorsed by both the National Safety Council, more than 21,000 teens and parents have participated since the program started in 2004.
-Registration is open at www.TeenDrive365.com (Teens must have a valid license or learner’s permit and be accompanied by a parent or guardian)

  2. irember teh time went to take driving ed andthen not trying to hit any one thank god i didnt

  3. This sounds like a great thing! I may just be 2.5 hours, but that’s valuable learning time for someone with a permit.

  4. Lorna Patrick says:

This is a perfect idea for all new drivers, thank you for doing this review!

  5. Wow, this sounds like a really great program, and it’s free!! If I were in the area I wouldn’t miss this, thank you for sharing this post.

  6. Renee Smith says:

I wish we had something like this where I live in Wisconsin. I will have to do some research and see if u can find something. This would be great for my daughter who will be getting her license before I know it.

  7. Kasie Tillman says:

I wish Louisiana had this! Hopefully there is a similar program for my daughter when she starts driving. We have a while though.

  8. That sounds like a really good idea. I wish they had the program in all ares.

  9. This sounds like a good idea. Wish they had a local program like this where I live!

  10. I took drivers ed and I really hope there’s a good program around when my daughters are learning to drive!

  11. This is a really good thing for Toyota to sponsor — I know from both sides that parents can’t teach their children to drive!

  12. What a great idea – I am in NY and I will investigate to see if this is available in my area.

  13. this is wonderful and yet sad, I am glad that they are trying to let teens know and make them aware but if others don’t help out I feel it’ll be the same, everyone has to do there part in this matter… thanks for sharing
