BurtsBeesReview

I was recently contacted by Burt’s Bees to review their Natural Products that are available at Walmart. Whatever I wanted to review was up to me! Natural products are very important to me, and I actually haven’t always been that way until recently! I have two girls, and I think it’s really important to watch what is in the products we use as well as products we eat. Anyway, so I headed to Walmart to check out their lovely Burt’s Bees section, and much to my surprise, they had a TON of products in the health and beauty section! I knew Walmart sold Burt’s Bees products as I have seen their lip balms before up at the checkout lanes, but I had no idea they had this much product. It was so hard to choose what I wanted to review!

Walmart had anything and everything you could think of from Burt’s Bees Natural Products. Lotions, Facial Scrubs, Facial Cleaners, Foot Creams, Hand products, Lip products, and more! After spending about 20 minutes in this section I finally decided on three different products that I had never used from Burt’s Bees before, and was really interested in trying out!

I chose Burt’s Bees Cucumber & Sage Facial Cleaning Towelettes, Burt’s Bees Hydrating Lip Balm with Coconut & Pear, and Burt’s Bees Peach & Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub. I was really impressed with the prices of these products too. It always seems any of the Natural products are really pricey, but these were all very reasonable in price, which is a plus for a mom on a budget.

The first product I decided to try once I got home was the Cucumber & Sage Facial Cleaning Towelettes. This package contains 30 pre-moistened towelettes and are a pretty generous size. They are 99.1% natural and are for normal to dry skin. These are great for removing dirt, oil, and make-up without having to rinse your face. They are dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested, as well as FSC certified cloth. I’m always on the lookout for products I can travel with, especially because I have so many upcoming dates that I will be traveling. It’s not always easy to be able to wash your face when you’re on the go, so these are great for a nice pick me up for my skin. They have a wonderful cucumber/sage smell that isn’t too overpowering and they did a fabulous job of removing all of my make-up, including my mascara without much effort. They left my skin feeling fabulous, cool, and clean. These are definitely going on my list of must haves!

The second product I used after the Cucumber & Sage Facial Cleaning Towelettes was the Burt’s Bees Peach & Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub. I’m a sucker for anything that can deep clean my face and pores, and it’s always hard to find a great product without shelling out a ton of money. I’d have to say this Burt’s Bees Peach & Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub fit the bill for sure! As you can see it has some finely ground peach stone to help clear our those pores and dead skin off of your face. I love that this product is 100% natural too! It is also infused with Willow Bark, which is a natural source of salicylic acid. The Peach & Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub has a light scent, but smells like peaches. It does a great job of removing dirt and excess oils for a deep pore cleaning. After using this product, my face felt really clean and soft. I’d recommend following up with a Burt’s Bees moisturizer to restore moisture to your face.

On the directions it does say to wet your face first before applying this product, but I think it’s creamy enough and not too thick, that it’s really great to use without water. Unless you have some sensitive skin then you may need this to be a bit thinner. I definitely recommend using it without wetting your face first. This is a product that I will definitely be buying again and again too, right along side the facial towelettes. They both worked wonderful together.

The third product I tried was Burt’s Bees Hydrating Lip Balm in Coconut & Pear. I am a daily user of lip balm, and I’ve had Burt’s Bees lip balm in the past, but I haven’t had any recently, so I was excited to try it out again. My lips always seem to be dry, and with the upcoming Winter months I figured a hydrating lip balm would be the best choice. Coconut Oil is so popular nowadays and is used in a ton of natural products, so I knew this would be a good choice, especially since I’m a huge fan of coconut oil. This lip balm from Burt’s Bees is of course 100% natural. Upon application of Burt’s Bees Hydrating Lip Blam my lips felt soft and health feeling, without being too heavy. I love a light lip balm and this definitely met all of my expectations. It’s definitely a product I’d recommend for the upcoming Winter months!

Burt’s Bees has been in business since 1984. It all started when Burt Shavitz picked up a hitchhiker on the side of the road named Roxanne Quimby and she began making beautiful natural candles with Burt’s leftover beeswax. They started selling the candles and in the first year they made $20,000. With Burt’s Bees celebrating their 30th Anniversary, now is a great time to support Burt’s Bees Natural Products at Walmart! I encourage you to check out the large selection of products and try something out today!

  2. I had no idea that they made anything other than the lip balm. I like that it’s natural and doesn’t feel waxy.
