I’m sure you’re asking yourself right about now, what is Cooberry? It sure is a catchy name and I’m sure you can tell by my title that it has to do with children ages 4-12! As a mom (which most of my readers are) I know we are always looking for ways to entertain our children educationally when we are trying to get dinner fixed, chores done, or just have some quiet time for just 5 minutes. Well look no further, there’s Cooberry.com!

CooberryStoryTelling
Cooberry.com is a FREE website with unique animation that offers your children storytelling, eBooks, animations, and fun facts. For 5 minutes each day they can have their imaginations stimulated, all while encouraging them to love reading. My children LOVE to read, and this is perfect for them! There are many different things such as storytelling, eBooks, animations and fun facts that are all available in just one easy to find online location. This is perfect for parents to bond and spend quality time with their children for five minutes each day, or they can even watch a week’s worth of programming all at once together. New content is added by Cooberry every day to their free website.

Here’s a little video to give you a little sneak peek!

Storytelling is something I encourage often for my 6 year old. I love for her to use her imagination, and she’s very funny with the stories she comes up with.
There are many benefits to storytelling!

  • It greatly improves the literacy of children of all ages.
  • It enhances curiosity, imagination and the quest for knowledge.
  • It increases the children’s attention span for learning.
  • It teaches morals and positive behavior – right from wrong.
  •  It passes on new knowledge to children through fun facts.
  • Storytelling is a crucial step for kids become avid readers in the future.
  • Enjoying storytelling with kids is a great bonding opportunity for parents.

My daughter is in Kindergarten and doesn’t read on her own yet, so we encourage storytelling using sight words on flashcards that we have at home.

Cooberry.com is named after a unique fruit that grows on a secret island in the Pacific Ocean, Cooberry Island. This wonderful fruit is said to “coo” in the ear “eat me, eat me.” Your kids will love all of the fanciful stories and animation featuring the adventures of the various talking animals who live on the mystical island of Cooberry. Make sure to sit down with your kids and check out Cooberry.com!

Cooberry.com is compatible with your PC or Mac – desktop, laptops and iPad, but unfortunately it is not compatible with mobile devices at this time. Don’t forget the best part, it’s FREE!
