As a mom to two girls, I am always trying to let them know that beauty is just more than what’s on the outside. It seems like today everyone is so focused on what’s on the outside, what we see on tv, magazine articles, and even the internet. Unfortunately, there’s no way to shelter young women/children from any of this, so all we can give them is our word. It’s so very important to instill into our children that beauty is more than just skin deep! I’m always trying to build my children’s self esteem up, it’s what they need to be strong and powerful, and be proud of themselves!

Dove has helped more than 14 million girls build their self esteem so far, and as parents, role models, and adults, we can do our part and help even more!

Make sure you stop by and visit the Dove Beauty page on Walmart’s website to see what Dove is doing to help build girls’ self-esteem, hear what other women have to say about their beauty legacy, and to see great deals on Dove products! You won’t want to miss it!

  1. Thanks for the Terrific Review on Dove Beauty Legacy! You are definitely right! Our young girls these days see the women on commercials and on TV shows like America’s Top Model and so on! Even when you go see a movie anymore! It’s up to us parents to instill pride in our girls. Make them aware that it’s not just what is on the outside that counts, it’s what’s on the inside as well! It’s wonderful to have a beautiful heart and soul! To be kind and helpful and honest! Too many girls want to grow up too fast and start wearing clothes that aren’t quite appropriate for their age. I’ve seen my oldest daughter go through all this stuff and the different fads that were out! She’s an adult now with 2 babies of her own and she wears whatever she wants to wear. There are times when I see what she’s wearing and it takes all that I have to not say anything to her about it. I just hope she instills this important message to my granddaughter as well (to be beautiful on the inside). Thanks so very much for this Terrific Review and for all the information that our “girls” need to know about themselves. You know, our boys also should be aware of the fact that it’s more than what’s on the outside of a girl, but what’s on the inside that counts. Maybe if we teach the same thing to our boys while they are growing up, maybe they won’t be so picky when they grow up. Just wondering. Thanks again, Michele 🙂

I think it is beautiful what you are doing, you ladies help so many people out, you are wonderful and I think it should be said more often, that alone if the children hear it, then they will start believing in the them self’s earlier in life and they will learn that they are perfect just the way they are. GOD bless.

  3. i’m a dove girl and i love it! best of luck to the winner!

Being a mom and always being on the go is a rough and tiring job, by the time dinner comes around I know I'm already exhausted and wanting to head to bed...but you know, kids, they want dinner.
