Summer is just around the corner, and I know I don’t like eating really heavy meals during the summer. Especially because it’s just so hard to be active when you have food weighing you down. We are always going for walks, going swimming, playing outside, and I just love light and easy meals, which salads just fit that bill. I polled some of my blogger friends and have compiled a list of amazing salads that are just absolutely perfect for summer. Whether you want it as your main meal, or a side dish, there’s sure to be something here that you will just love!

  8. I;m not a huge vegetable eater. But, for the past two days I’ve craved salads. I just like a simple lettuce, tomato, onion, green pepper. cubed ham and Mexican cheese blend topped off with green goddess dressing.

    These salads are all wonderful and I can’t pick just one. I want to try the Quinoa Summer Salad, the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad, the Strawberry Fields Salad with Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette, Simple Spinach Salad, and the Coconut Ambrosia Salad.   16. WOW great recipes. The last thing I want to do when it is hot is turn on the oven or stove and salads are a great way to go.

  41. I like a tossed green salad with diced meat, usually grilled chicken breast, and a Mexican cheese blend.That makes a filling meal that’s fairly low in calories.

  42. I make an Oriental Salad recipe that is always a big hit. It always tastes better the second day when the dressing has really soaked into the cabbage! YUMMY!

    Definitely making the Broccoli, bacon, raisin salad! Not only does this sound good, but it looks GREAT! Never in a million years would I have thought of putting raisins in a salad with broccoli. BUT, it makes perfect sense! The sweet & then the salty from the bacon… YUM!!! Love broccoli!

  70. I like taco salad or just a simple vegetable salad with grilled chicken breast meat, Mexican cheese , sesame seeds and green goddess dressing. No fruit pieces.

  71. I really like a fresh fruit salad. Especially a melon salad. Watermelon is one of my favorite fruits.

  72. One of my favorite salads is chicken salad for sandwiches.I keep it simple using grilled skinless breast meat, real mayo, onion, celery and salt and pepper. Maybe a small amount of mustard mixed in.

    Oh my! I think I know the copy cat chick-fil-A grilled market salad would be my go to. With salads a lot of the time I tend to go stale with mixing up some different flavors and keeping it interesting.(I keep forgetting sometimes a pop of some select fruits are a nice edition) I love this I may have to pin these.
