My youngest is now almost 4 years old, but the memories I have of her as a baby with her occasional constipation are etched into my mind. I’m not sure that I will ever forget them. She would cry, scream, whine, and pull her legs up to her belly in pain. It would go on for a few hours at a time, and then off and on throughout the day. She would occasionally be constipated and we had been to the doctor off and on with no real help other than my baby had occasional constipation.

We tried home options, changing formulas, with no real relief. I really got tired of trying prune juice, bicycling her legs, and tummy massages with no response. She eventually grew out of her occasional constipation, but not without many sleepless nights and tiring long days. I recently learned of a new product from Mead Johnson Nutrition the makers of Enfamil branded products. I knew that I had to tell my readers about it, as this could be a great option for someone. All opinions are my own and not those of Mead Johnson Nutrition even though they are sponsoring me for this post. I know my baby would have definitely benefited from a great product like this if it had been around at the time.

Now there is Enfamil® Reguline™, which is an everyday infant formula that is specifically designed to promote soft, comfortable stools and to help support digestive health in your baby.

Now I’m sure you’re wondering, what makes Enfamil Reguline so special?

Enfamil Reguline has a blend of two prebiotics that has been clinically proven in Enfamil Infant formula to help promote soft stools. Prebiotics feed the good bacteria in the digestive tract with a type of carbohydrate also found in breast milk.

As always, Enfamil routine infant formulas have complete nutrition – brain nourishing DHA, choline, and other nutrients for healthy growth. Enfamil Reguline provides complete nutrition for your baby for the first 12 months of life. I love that this product contains easy-to-digest proteins that are partially broken down.

Not only does Enfamil Reguline come in its ever so popular milk based powder with iron, but it also comes in ready to use liquid. These are great for baby when you’re on the go and you don’t have time to mix the powder with water. I always just threw the ready to go bottles in my diaper bag.

In addition to the prebiotics, you can feel comfortable yourself knowing your baby is getting important nutrients he/she needs.

  1. Linda Manns Linneman says:

I wish they would have had this when my children were babies. I had to use all the old fashioned remedies like suppositories

  2. This is great to know about, I’ll have to share this info with my close friend who just had her baby last week….

  3. I wish this product was available 30 some years ago. When a baby is constipated you want to cry right along with them. I think every parent should have this on hand.

  4. This sounds great, I wish that it was available when I had my son! He had a lot of issues and we went through a lot of different types. I bet this would have helped him a lot.

  5. Enfamil Reguline sounds wonderful. I think that no one can really understand the horror of a baby with constipation unless they have experienced it. I’m glad there is a product out there to help. Thank you for sharing this review.

  6. That is cool they came out with something like this. Good idea.
