My family and I are getting ready for one last quick vacation before school starts. We’re heading down to the mountains of North Carolina where my in-laws live. We always head to our favorite ‘SNACKATION’ destination, Walmart, before we head out! Time to stock up! They always have the BEST snacks for my girls. As a mom it’s my job to keep my girls happy and occupied, which of course makes a great trip for all of us. There’s nothing worse than taking a trip and someone being cranky a few hours into it because they’re hungry. That’s why we head to Walmart to pick up our favorite snacks, Walmart is our favorite ‘SNACKATION’ destination! I wanted to share with you some of our favorite snacks!

First stop for us is Smucker’s Uncrustables! My girls love them, and well, my husband and I do too! We’re a peanut butter and jelly loving family! My oldest daughter and I love the peanut butter and strawberry jam, while my husband and youngest daughter love the peanut butter and grape jelly. These are sure to be a hit while on our trip!

Next up is we stopped by the Jif To Go cups,  Jif Whips, and Jif Dippers. We love all of these! The Jif Whips are super yummy with fruit, especially strawberries. I like the little Jif To Go cups which are perfect for sliced apples and celery sticks. My girls decided they wanted Jif Dippers, so that’s what we picked up! These are fun and yummy! They come with a Jif To Go cup and pretzels all in one, so you can dip and eat! Simple, quick, filling snack with no mess. That’s music to this momma’s ears!

I had to pick up some Smuckers Squeeze Strawberry Fruit Spread while I was there to make some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at home before we leave for our trip. All of this peanut butter goodness made us hungry for scrumptious PB&Js! My little one couldn’t decide on the grape or the strawberry, but since we already picked up grape Uncrustables, we went with Smuckers Squeeze Strawberry for tonight!

Now we’re all stocked for our trip. We picked up Smuckers Uncrustables, Smuckers Fruit-Fulls (a new fave of mine, shhh don’t tell the kids), and Jif To Go Dippers! We’re off to pack now and get ready for our trip in just a few days! Stay tuned to read about our trip and our snacking along the way!

  1. Not a lot of nutrition in your snack choices. Get some fresh veggies instead.

  2. Elizabeth H. says:

Fruits are always a good option!

  3. I like to take trail mix, crackers, fresh fruit and dried fruit, and water. I still have not tried Jif Whips, I really need to try that. Thank you for sharing this post.

  4. Peanut butter is a very nutritious choice, in my opinion. It’s filling and high in protein. It’s portable and does not require refrigeration. 🙂

I like to carry almonds or pistachios as a snack. Chex Mix and the Combos with peanut butter are another.

One thing I really like about our Walmart Neighborhood Market is that they have a fairly large selection of gluten free choices in the snack aisle.

  5. I love Smucker’s products. That’s the only jellies and jams I buy, unless I make my own.

  6. Walmart in Toronto has some products that are not available anywhere else. I bought candies there that I sent in a box to my family in the Philippines, as these are always appreciated and standard gifts to give.

  7. I like different foods at different times. Sometimes it may be potato chips, nuts, carrot sticks with peanut butter…Right now, it’s watermelon. It’s the only food that I’ve eaten the past two days.

  8. Favs are salty snacks and juice!!

  9. We just had a WalMart neighborhood market open up down the street and they are very affordable!

  10. Linda Manns Linneman says:

I just love shopping Walmart. I am there atleast twice a week. My grandchildren love all of the above. Jif and Smuckers are our favorites. Thank you for sharing

  11. Our favorite snacks to take on trips are pretzels, cashews, raisins, and Triscuits.

I love Walmart for my snack food. They have good produce (fruits and veggies) too if you aren’t into the other kinds of snacks but peanut butter and Smuckers are our favorites for many things. We even use Smuckers for over ice cream.

Walmart is great for snack food. My family loves uncrustables and I think they are pretty healthy. And I like that they do not need to be kept cold. They are great for wuick snacks when away from home.

  14. Hubby was heading to Walmart to stock up on a few items….I think I need to add a few things to the list, like those Smuckers Uncrustables!

  15. i love going to walmarts and i love smuckers uncrustables, they make me happy

  16. I love peanut butter! Thank you for sharing your post.

  17. Walmart is the best for snacks! Thanks so much for sharing! Beautiful children!

  18. Great choices, I am sure my daughter would love them all.

  19. We love to take finger food type snacks. Things that are easy to snack on and do not need napkins/plates/etc. One of my favorites is pretzels dipped in peanut butter.

  20. With kids you really do have to bring snacks along on a road trip. They can get cranky on a long drive.

  21. Just check the ingredients when you buy snack products.

  22. Was just at Walmart today, and they had all these wonderful organic snacks that were all on clearance. So nice to find some good snacking options for a good price 🙂

  23. Walmart is the best place for snacks any day! The prices are perfect!
