Anna Naturals Review & $75 Gift Card Giveaway – ends 10/2

Everything Mommyhood received the products mentioned below in exchange for this posting.

In recent years, I’ve been introduced to more and more natural remedies for everything that life has in store. Aromatherapy, massage, meditation, essential oils, and other similar solutions have helped to improve my moods, pains, and overall well-being. Approaching my third trimester of pregnancy, there certainly are a lot of mood variations, pains all over, and looming emotions like stress and anxiety that come with preparing for a new baby. Knowing this, I was extremely elated to see the line of natural products for mamas and mamas-to-be by Anna Naturals.

Anna Naturals has an assortment of teas, oils, scrubs, creams, and mists, plus sets that gather multiple items to suit your particular needs. In my case, my needs were particularly related to pregnancy, nursing, and birth. I opted for Dream, a relaxing massage oil to help me rest during my pregnancy. Dream is a light, non-greasy massage oil that is intended to put your mind at ease and encourage a restful sleep. The Anna Naturals Dream massage oil is infused with 100% pure essential oils, such as lavender, chamomile, and jojoba seed oil. When you’re big and pregnant, sleep is a bit difficult to come by. Getting into the right position, ignoring the baby kicking, making sure your bladder is finally empty, and of course, all of the thoughts on your mind…it can’t hurt to get a pre-bedtime massage from Hubby with the Dream massage oil. The oil felt smooth on my skin, the massage was relaxing, and the scent was so calming. It was such a relief for my mind and body!

For nursing, I chose The Boobie Basket from Anna Naturals, which consists of: Nursing Mama Tea, Nursing Mama Nipple Cream, and All Smiles Uplifting Spray. The Nursing Mama tea contains fenugreek seed, which is well-known for increasing milk supply. It also has cherry, strawberry, and orange extract, all organic and contributing to a great taste. Certain nipple creams I’ve tried in the past have actually made my nipples feel worse so I needed a natural cream like Nursing Mama. The shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, and calendula oils are very gentle, with a soothing and healing effect. Plus, you don’t have to wash off the Nursing Mama Nipple Cream before breastfeeding because it’s all-natural! Nursing and being a new mother in general can really be trying and the All Smiles Uplifting Spray is a perfect aromatherapy remedy to give your mood a little boost! The citrus scent is amazing and it’s not too overpowering with the mix of jasmine and ylang ylang oil.

Birth was the most important thing for me to stock up for. I rely heavily on my visualizations, breathing techniques, relaxation music, and aromatherapy. With my last homebirth, I used flameless candles for my version of aromatherapy and it just wasn’t the same. The Anna Naturals Blissful Birth Aromatherapy Set is absolutely perfect! I am so new to aromatherapy that I still haven’t quite learned the ins and outs of what is best for use when and I would have no idea how to apply them to my birthing experience. This kit includes essential oils for all of the stages of labor, where it applies to your mood and needs.

Calm” is made up of grapeseed, lavender, chamomile, and rose oils and is to calm your mind and relax your body, especially for early labor. “Go Time” contains clary sage and jasmine, which target the uterus to help stimulate and strengthen contractions to keep labor moving along. “Drive” uses a mix of essential oils to help ease the pain and harness your courage and strength. If and when labor becomes exhausting, “Energy” uses sweet orange, sandalwood, lime, and peppermint essential oils to lift you up and renew your energy. To clear your your mind and help you to focus on bringing your new baby into the world, “Focus” contains a blend that includes Melissa Leaf and Rosemary essential oils.

Obviously, I’ve not yet actually tried the Anna Naturals Blissful Birth kit because one thing I’ve learned is that certain essential oils are absolutely not recommended during pregnancy because they can bring on contractions, like that of the “Go Time” oil. Due to the warning, I’m pretty excited about how much my Blissful Birth kit is going to improve my birthing experience when the time comes to utilize their powers! I did smell each oil and tried to imagine myself at each stage of labor, applying this oil and pushing myself to the next level to prepare for meeting my new bundle. I envisioned it so vividly and this is just the scents that were able to spark this excitement within me, I can’t imagine how beneficial their application will be during labor.

Anna Naturals are my most favorite pregnancy and/or baby-related product that I’ve reviewed all year. The products are natural and they inspire me. They make me feel so much better, so much more secure and calm. People have recommended aromatherapy and essential oils to me for a while and I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to finally experience them with Anna Naturals. What fabulous products and I highly, highly recommend them to the natural-minded readers out there or even someone considering trying a different solution to some of their life challenges.
