Mutts Comics – The Mutts Winter Diaries & a Giveaway – 10/11 #Mutts

This is a sponsored Post on behalf of Mutts Comics for Elements Associates. All opinions are my own and have not been influenced in anyway.

For as long as I can remember, on Sunday I’d always read the comics when my mom was reading the newspaper and one of my favorites has always been MUTTS Comics. MUTTS Comics are actually in over 700 newspapers in 20 countries! In 1994 Patrick McDonnell created the comic strip MUTTS, and it has become a worldwide read comic! Even Peanuts creator Charles Schulz has describe it as “One of the best comic strips of all time.”

MUTTS also won awards for its environmental and animal advocacy: two Genesis Awards from The Ark Trust, The HSUS Hollywood Genesis Award for Ongoing Commitment, the PETA Humanitarian Award, and a Sierra Club award. The author, McDonnell is involved with many animal and environmental charities, and is a member of the board of directors for both the HSUS and the Fund for Animals. His characters have been enlisted by the U.S. Marines for their 2006 Toys for Tots holiday poster, the American Library Association’s 2007 “Read!” poster, and by the HSUS for their humane postage stamps. The MUTTS characters appear on the New Jersey Animal Friendly license plates that fund state pet population programs.

We have teamed up with MUTTS just in time for the release of The MUTTS Winter Diaries. It’s a super cute story of our favorite furry friends, Earl and Mooch! It’s actually REALLY funny. My 7 year old daughter and I read it last night and we both were cracking up! She actually hadn’t read comics before or seen them before since we no longer read the newspaper (darn technology), and she liked the layout of comics. It was a great learning experience for her!

I highly recommend checking out The MUTTS Winter Diaries! It’s cute and funny!
