Technology is great because it can make our lives just a little less hectic. You think about cellphones, computers and tablets when you want to stay connected, but what about an in-home camera? Wouldn’t that be just what you needed when you were not able to always be at home. Feeling secure in where we spend our time is something that we all can admit to wanting.

NetGearHome

The new Netgear Arlo Smart Home Indoor/Outdoor Wireless High-Definition Security Cameras 4-Pack is exactly what you need to feel connected. The Netgear Nighthawk DST router with Geek Squad support is also another thing that helps when it comes to making your home connected. Both of these items are Best Buy exclusives. I know that I have always fretted getting a security system because I just simply didn’t think it would be easy to install. This router and camera set is simple! I can’t believe that I didn’t do this a long time ago! Especially with having two girls, and a 3 story house, it’s just so much more secure and a great feeling knowing we have security cameras.

The Netgear Arlo is the only 100% wire-free, weather proof, HD camera available. The set is equipped with 4 indoor/outdoor HD cameras to upgrade your home (or business) security. The motion-activated security cameras enables you to capture 720p video footage both during the day and at night. Plus, set up is easy, wire free and weatherproof for indoor/outdoor temperatures ranging from 14° to 122°.  The system comes with 6 magnetic camera mounts and 9 mounting screws, for easy installation on a wall or flat surface. The motion-activated design automatically records motion once detected, sending e-mail or app notifications directly to your Android, Apple iOS smartphone or Amazon Kindle, Windows or Apple tablet. The Arlo is also able to work with other Netgear products easily. It works with my smart phone easily, and I love it!

This is where the Netgear Nighthawk DST Router and DST Adapter is very handy. Dead zones in Wi-Fi are a big no-no when it comes to working from home like I do, you know, blogging like I am now or even streaming your favorite shows. The Netgear dead spot terminator series works like a charm. Did you know that most homes have seven connected devices going at once? That’s insane to think about, but when you do, you will find that it is true. This router is your solution to having all of these devices connected and no weak Wi-Fi signal. It can be connected right into your existing electrical wires and the Geek Squad Setup & Support is a plus. You can contact them via phone or web and they are available for one full year!

You will never feel more connected or at ease in your home then with these two products. Best Buy has worked to develop these products for you and your home so that you can put your mind at ease. Geek Squad is just a call or click away if you run into any issues and you won’t have to worry about losing signal to your devices anymore because of dead spots. Luckily for me, my hubby is super technology savvy and has loved putting our cameras up and connecting our new Netgear Nighthawk DST Router.

Buy it: You can buy both of these items at your local Best Buy or online!
The Netgear Arlo Security Cameras are available for $499.99 and the Netgear Nighthawk DST Router is $299.99.

Time for an upgrade on our security. We live in a big apartment building (290 apartments!), and lately there have been break-ins and attempted break-ins. One of the intruders was caught in the act, and he himself lives in the building!! (Or at least he did, he lives on Riker’s Island now!) No where is safe any more. I love that this is weather-proof, perfect to put on the terrace. Off to Best Buy this week!

  6. In home security cameras are a good idea. Especially for those that travel alot. I’d feel more comfortable taking a vacation knowing there was a security system in place. Neighbors can only watch so much.

  7. Amber Ludwig says:
