Dasani Green Cap

I’m sure you’re asking yourself what is a green cap plant bottle? I know I did when I received an email asking me if I’d write about it to my readers, I thought it was intriguing and I was interested to learn about what Dasani had come up with this time!

Dasani has made a new unique redesigned plastic bottle, that is made from up to 30% of plants, and is still 100% recyclable. Isn’t that awesome? After researching on this I learned a whole lot of information on this new plant bottle! Read on below, and you can also check out this link Coca Cola Introducing the New Plant Bottle.

This new plant bottle uses 30% plant materials, and that actually makes a huge difference to the environment. That 30% of plant materials replaced some of the non-renewable petroleum or fossil-based resources used in conventional PET plastic, and the new plant bottles still remain 100% recyclable. These plant based Dasani bottles use less environmentally damaging materials and they are still able to be used in the production of other products after we’re finished with them. Isn’t that neat???

This new plant based bottle is actually lighter and more eco-friendly than its predecessor. In fact, the new Dasani plant based bottle contains 45 percent less plastic than the original 2001 bottle. That’s a huge difference!  Coca Cola is doing more with this technology than bringing us Dasani water. They’ve even licensed this plant based plastic technology to non-competitive companies, allowing for expansion of this environmentally friendly technology to build a global supply chain for PlantBottle material. I thought that was great, and I’m sure you think the same. This allows brands near and far to join in doing their part to help save the earth!

Recycling has really changed so much since I was young. I remember way back when, the only thing anyone recycled was aluminum beverage cans. Just recently in the past year we moved into a new neighborhood and we actually have a recycling can, just like a trash can, and I recycle every thing I possibly can, and I love that it is sometimes more than the trash that we create!

It makes me feel good that we are all doing something good about the world we are living in and brands like Coca-Cola are improving products for the world we live in as well.

Keep an eye out for the green cap next time you reach for something to drink when you’re out and think about how you’re doing something good!
Make sure you check out Dasani and Coca-Cola for more information!

What do you think about the new Plant Bottle technology???

  1. A bottle that is made from up to 30% plant material sounds great. They should keep at it and see if they can raise that percentage.

  2. We have been recycling for decades. I have more in our recycling containers each week than in the trash can. Luckily, our county picks it up free of charge (so they claim) And, we save up cans then take them in for cash. So yes, I will buy this brand .

  3. I always loved Dasani water but I just read a terrible article about it. It is not the purified water that we thought. How disappointing. If you haven’t read this check it out soon
