Pinterest: Easy Christmas Wall Decoration

I made an easy Christmas Decoration, I saw THIS on pinterest/etsy, and new I could recreate it very easily without spending much money. In fact, I didn't spend any because I had everything at home. All I used was cardboard from a box, hot glue gun, scrapbook letters, and ribbon. Take the cardboard and wrap with wrapping paper using the glue instead of tape, or I guess you can use tape too :) Then run a long piece of ribbon along the back, make a … [Read more...]

Baby Shadow Box & Baby Welcome Sign

I just wanted to share two things that I had made for my youngest who was born November 2011. I just recently got back into blogging, so I hadn't had a chance to share them. I wish I took photos during, so I could have showed steps on how I did each one. The first thing I made was this welcome hospital door sign for Olivia. I just made it out of cardstock, tulle, ribbon, stickers, and scrapbook paper. The next thing I made was the newborn … [Read more...]

I'm not one who has typically shopped at the Goodwill, but since joining Pinterest I'm always going to the local Goodwill to see if I can find anything I can upcycle or use for my home. Mantel Decorating

I recently got super bored with just the black picture frames on my mantel, so I bought a few things and decorated it different. I'm happy with it now, and it was super cheap. I'm sure I will change it around a few more times in the coming months. I don't know what happened to my before picture, but just imagine, plain black frames on it. Here is the after picture: The frame on the left I received as a wedding present, I love the detail of … [Read more...]

Barn Stars!

We recently moved to MS and I have always wanted to decorate with an Americana Country theme, so I am pursuing that! I recently purchased 3 red, white, and blue barn stars at Michaels on clearance for a whopping 79 cents a piece. I wanted them a color to actually blend in and not stick out, so I thought about decopauging them, which I actually started to do, but everything I did went wrong, it was just a bad day in general. I threw in the towel … [Read more...]

Extreme Room Makeover

A few weeks ago I posted about my mom's room that I was re-doing. We did a few things differently then what I wanted to do, but I finally finished, and she absolutely love it. The long walls are painted aqua and the two shorter walls were painted chocolate brown. I added some sheer chocolate colored curtains, the "DREAM" letters that I made, the new duvet set, shelves that I stained, plush chocolate brown carpeting, and some vases/glass … [Read more...]

Game Day Recipe: Make Your Own Italian Sub Boats #OEPBigGame

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Walmart/Old El Paso. All opinions are those of our own. Game Day is just around the corner and I recently was perusing around Walmart looking for ideas for recipes for the Big Game. I'm a huge fan of Old El Paso products, and I have used them for years.
