4 Life Tips to Help Get You Through the Week

This is a guest post from a dear friend of mind, in fact he’s my future brother-in-law. He asked if he could get post on my blog, and of course I said yes! We all love reading new stuff and connecting with new people. I’d like to introduce to you, Psychic Mike! He’s really quite talented, and such a great person. After you read his guest post, check him out at the links below to connect with him!

Getting through to Friday may be as simple as waiting until the weekend, but sometimes we just need the slightest extra push to get there. As a career psychic, I’ve made it my goal to help my clients through all of life’s most difficult situations, but what I end up recommending more than anything else is to simply get through the week. So, whether we’ve had a hundred readings together or have never met, here’s Psychic Mike’s four biggest tips for getting through the week.

Quit Worrying About the Future

Quit worrying about the future (that’s my job). Oftentimes I catch myself spending more time worrying about potential problems than I spend actually solving the ones in front of me. I worry about where I’ll be in five years or what I’d do if disaster struck, but I spend little time in comparison actually planning for the future or making sure I prevent the bad stuff that I can.

If you’re truly struggling to get through the week, chances are that you’re worried about the things that have yet to come, and this simply isn’t worth your time. Every hour you spend worrying is an hour you can spend fixing, mending, or preparing for, and worrying is a waste of time in comparison. If you really need to know about the future, call a psychic, but if you’re just worried that things won’t be okay, spend time making things better instead.

Keep Setting Goals

Keep setting goals. By far the easiest way to make time go faster is to have a realistic, time-limited, goal to accomplish. Competition has driven our race to outer edges of space, to the deepest trenches of the ocean, and to overcome every one of the obstacles the universe has thrown in our path — why not use this incredible tool to your own benefit?

Setting a simple goal like getting all the laundry done or finally replacing the light bulb at the top of the stairs internally sparks our competitive drive, and there’s no better competition than a past version of yourself. Putting a time constraint on your goals will make Mondays turn into Fridays in a flash.

Learn Something New

Learn something new. Learning is an investment we can make in ourselves even when our wallets won’t let us. By enriching your mind with something you find interesting, you’ll undoubtedly lose track of time in the process. When I’m immersed in a really good book or when I start learning a new skill, I oftentimes will keep myself awake just to continue, having no concept of how much time I’ve spent doing it.

Whether you just want to brush up on random facts for trivia night or learn a new language to communicate with more of the world, taking the time to learn something new can get you through even the worst week.

Make Time to Do Nothing

Make time to do nothing. Sometimes the simplest answer is the best one, and doing nothing is about as simple as it gets. In life, we often find ourselves in situations with a million things to do and not enough time to get anything done, so simply doing nothing can open our minds to different possibilities. I know I’ve been in plenty of situations where I’ve spent countless hours working on a project that I never finished, and that time could have been better spent meditating or simply enjoying life.

Getting through the week sometimes means we have to take a step back and appreciate all the weeks we’ve been through to get here, and you can’t appreciate anything when you’re too busy to take a look around.
