Britax is known for making top of the line car seats with safety and comfort in mind. Britax seats are easy to use and install, as well as offering great protection for your little one. I am a huge advocate about car seat safety such as extended rear facing and extended harnessing. Check out my car seat safety post.

The Britax Pavilion 70-G3 allows you to rear face your baby/infant/toddler from 5lbs-40lbs and forward face up to 70lbs and 49 inches tall.

britaxRFThis is my 18 Month Old, Extended Rear Facing, She is 23lbs and 33inches tall. We will rear face to AT LEAST 2 years of age as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. I don’t go by the MINIMUM laws of the state, I want the MAXIMUM for my child. We will try to rear face to at least 3 years of age.

I love the Britax Pavilion 70-G3 for so many reasons, check out the great product features on this car seat:

Hugs Chest Pads with Safe Cell Technology– HUGS stands for Harness Ultra-Guard System, these are integrated into the harness/straps to allow for better compression in an accident and reduction of a head injury.
Tangle Free Five Point Harness– The seat has velcro on the sides to wear the harness will attach itself when not in use, so it’s easy to find/grab the straps and connectors when buckling in your child. The straps don’t get twisted and it’s easy to find, you don’t have to dig in the seats to find it.
Energy Absorbing Versa-Tether– I LOVED this feature when I installed this seat rear-facing. This seat comes with a D-link connector to strap around the front seat to attach the versa tether to if rear facing. When installing make sure the tether is taut, but not pulling or too tight. Also when forward facing, you will attach the versa tether to your car seat anchor (see your vehicle manual to locate).

Reclining– The Pavilion has different recline positions for forward facing and rear facing, giving your child maximum comfort.
Quick Adjust No Rethread Harness– This is one of the best features in my opinion. There’s nothing worse than having to uninstall a car seat just to rethread the harness straps once your child grows taller. The adjustor is a small handle on the top of the front of the seat that you just pull up to adjust the harness straps. Remember straps need to be at or below for rear facing and at or above for forward facing.

Premium Lower LATCH Connectors– These attach to the lower LATCH on your seat and they have an audible click to let you know they are connected. Using LATCH allows you to get a tight installation.
LATCH-1
Built in Lock-Offs– This is another great feature. This allows you to install the seat with a lap belt or regular seat belt and get a tight installation with minimal effort. You thread the seatbelt through the rear facing or forward facing belt path and use the lock offs to make sure your installation is tight, by locking the seatbelt into place.
Lock-Offs-1
Contoured Anti-Slip Base– The base on the car seat has an anti-slip rubber type coating on the bottom to protect your seats in your vehicle and also to make sure the car seat doesn’t slip.

This seat has so many more great features, but those are just the main ones that I love that I wanted to point out. Check out the main page of Britax on the Britax Pavilion 70-G3 for more information. This seat is also certified for Air Travel and is made in the USA.

This seat is available in a variety of print choices: Biscotti, Blueprint, Cowmooflage, Onyx, Calgary, and Sophia.
