A few weeks ago I was contacted by Butter Braid® pastries, and I had heard of them before as they are a sweet and simple fundraiser that I know a lot of people love. Who can turn down yummy baked pastries straight from the oven? I know my family couldn’t, so that’s why I said yes when they offered to send me their most popular flavors. I love serving my family a yummy dessert after a home cooked meal and I love that these are cooked at home to give that

Here’s the great flavors we received:

  • Strawberry & Cream Cheese
  • Cinnamon
  • Apple
  • Double Chocolate
  • Raspberry
  • Blueberry & Cream Cheese

The one-and only Butter Braid® pastry is hand-braided and filled with delicious fruit and cream fillings. I don’t know about you, but I’m a sucker for anything cream cheese and I LOVE strawberries, so naturally the first one we chose to eat was the Strawberry and Cream Cheese Butter Braid® pastry. My kids and husband both love strawberry and cream cheese too, so I was excited for them to try it.

They’re super easy to make too and don’t require a lot of effort, but they do require patience! For me the best time to set them out is around 8am-10am in the morning and by the time 6pm-7pm rolls around it’s ready to bake! If you’re wanting it for breakfast, you could totally set it out the night before and it will be ready to bake in the morning first thing.

I love that they really require no effort, but their taste is amazing! Your whole family will love you!

Step 1 – Remove from packaging and set your icing to the side. Place your pastry onto a cookie sheet with room to rise, cover loosely with plastic wrap.

Step 2 – Let rise for approximately 8 hours. I set mine out at 9am and it was ready to be baked at 6pm, just in time for dessert after dinner.

Step 3 – Bake according to packaging.

Step 4 – Let cool, and then drizzle with icing.

Step 5 – Use a serrated knife to cut into pieces, serve, and enjoy!

I’ll tell you, my husband had 3 helpings, he said it was super good and he loved the fresh baked taste. My girls who are 3 and 6 both loved it too, and I of course did.

I really like the green apple how ever I did not like the cinnamon rolls, the glaze is very sticky and hardened on them, they sure didn't taste much like a cinnamon roll to me disappointed .

All of the flavors sound good. I've had pastry like this that I picked up at the bakery. It was good, but, I imagine fresh from the oven tastes so much better, and smells good while baking.
