It’s Summer time, and it’s HOT out there. Don’t wait for the ice cream truck because you can just jump into the car and head to your local Walgreens (they’re on almost every corner after all) to pick up some of your favorite ice cream treats. It’s quick and convenient!
It’s been so hot and humid here in Mississippi and we actually live on a short street with a cul-de-sac so we don’t ever get the ice cream man on our street. I hate that my children don’t get to experience that because I grew up running out every time we heard the music. It was such a great memory from my childhood. Right now Walgreens carries all of your favorite ice cream treats!
We picked up some yummy Magnum Double Caramel bars, Fruttare Strawberry and Milk, and good old faithful, Breyers Vanilla. They had other options too, like Klondike bars and Popsicles! My kids love strawberry so they picked out those, and we had never had them before so I was excited to try them out! Of course the Magnum’s were for me, I enjoyed those at night after the kids went to bed and they were heavenly. We picked up the Breyers because we can make milkshakes with them or even banana splits!
As you can see my girls LOVED their ice cream. Ice cream from Walgreens is the perfect end to a Summer night and can turn any night into a party!!! Don’t wait for the ice cream truck or make that long trip into the grocery store, head to Walgreens and pick up your favorites!
What are your favorite ice cream treats?
