Extreme Room Makeover

A few weeks ago I posted about my mom’s room that I was re-doing. We did a few things differently then what I wanted to do, but I finally finished, and she absolutely love it. The long walls are painted aqua and the two shorter walls were painted chocolate brown. I added some sheer chocolate colored curtains, the “DREAM” letters that I made, the new duvet set, shelves that I stained, plush chocolate brown carpeting, and some vases/glass decorations.
Before the room was done in all white with old gross carpeting. I was so happy to finally complete my gift to my mom! I have pictures, that aren’t such great quality as they were taken with my iphone and it was kinda dark in my mom’s room.

The lamps ($40 a piece) were purchased at Marshalls, along with the fabric storage boxes ($10 a piece), and a couple of the glass vases ($8-$20). The letters and embellishments (approx $15), and shelves ($30) were all unfinished and purchased at Joanns Fabrics. The white cubes ($30) and curtains ($40) were purchased at Walmart. The floor lamp ($250) that you can’t really see was purchased at Kanes Furniture, it is aqua and brown in color. The duvet set on the bed was ($250) from Ebay, brand new.
I had a blast redecorating my moms room, it’s so comfortable and fun feeling. I can’t wait to decorate our house!
