How Your Smartphone Can Save Your Life

Just to let you know, this is NOT a sponsored post. It’s something I discovered on my phone just today and I wanted to post about it because it may one day save your life. I guess I could quite possibly be the only one out there that knew this, but thought I’d spread the word just in case. Check your smartphone to see if it’s capable of doing this. Your settings may be a bit different than mine since mine is on a Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Here’s step by step instructions on what I did:

First off you will need to go to your Settings tab.

Second you will click on “Privacy and Safety.”

From there you will click “Yes” to SOS messages ON!

Once you do that, this screen will pop up. You will select who you want for your emergency contact. You can select several different people, not just one.  I of course chose my hubby. So now if you’re ever in the event of danger, being kidnapped, carjacked or anything else, you can press the power button quickly three times and it will send an alert to your emergency contact(s) you have selected if you’re in an emergency situation.

This could be such a lifesaver, and I just learned that my phone could do this. I did check on my husband’s phone, and my inlaw’s phones and they all had the feature. We do all have androids though, so I do not know if it will work on iPhone devices. This may be something you’d want to look into. It could save your life

Anything to save our life that is something so simple is perfect for me, and I thought you should know!
