This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kajeet. All opinions are 100% mine.
Summer is upon us which means lots of playing outside for our kiddos, going on vacations where your kids might be by themselves for a bit at the pool, arcade,or just hanging around with their friends. It’s always very important to keep track where our children are and now with smartphones, it’s easier to do so than when I was a child. I think it’s very important for our children to always stay connected to us as parents so we can get a hold of them to check on them.
Kajeet is the smart phone for kids that allows parents to set up their kid’s phone with the contact manager parental control to designate who their phones can call or text. Although these phones have full functionality and are not a kiddie phone, you still can designate who your children can talk to and stay in contact with. You won’t have to worry about your children calling or texting someone you don’t want them talking to, or others from contacting them. You can also designate what websites they have access to as well.
I’m not a parent who allows my children a whole lot of technology, as I do want them to use more of their imaginations, but giving them a a phone from Kajeet, my husband and I can always feel confident we will be in touch with our children. Kajeet has received awards/acknowledgements from PTPA Media, the Mom’s Choice Awards, iParenting and NAPPA (the National Parenting Publication Awards). I think that’s rather impressive and makes me feel better about my decision for allowing my children to have a smart phone from Kajeet.
With Kajeet there are affordable plans that start at just $4.99/month.
a.) No activation fee.
b.) No termination fee.
c.) No long-term contract.
d.) No hassles if you need to change your plan. Change it whenever you need or want to, with no penalty.
Since this isn’t a kiddie phone, kids can choose from popular phones that they want. Parents can purchase a popular Android™ smartphone (including the Samsung Galaxy S III 4G LTE or the LG Viper 4G LTE) or a more basic, “starter” phone (like the Kyocera Domino). It’s completely up to you and your child to pick what’s best for them.
Phones can be purchased right from Kajeet’s website and from May 1 through June 17, there is a special discount offer on the website – 20% off all phones (except the Samsung Galaxy S4) with promo code PROUD. That makes this an even better deal, you can save money and stay connected with your children. In addition to the phones that are available for purchase, you may Bring Your Own Sprint® Device to Kajeet. This means you don’t need to purchase a phone from Kajeet in order to be on their service; if you already own an eligible (and inactive) device, you can activate it with Kajeet. Eligible devices must be Sprint branded and not all devices are eligible, You can check Kajeet’s website to see if your phone is eligible.
I recommend checking out Kajeet‘s services especially for the upcoming Summer vacation when our children are most active when we need to keep in touch with them and stay connected. Check them out and let me know what you think!

I really like the price of the Kajeet plans, as low as 4.99 a month and no activation or termination fees, do they have plans for adults as well?

Sounds like a really good deal, especially with no contract/activation/termination fees to worry about. My granddaughters are still a bit young now but in a few years we will be looking at purchasing a phone for each of them. Thanks for the introduction to Kajeet.
