Give baby their first set of wheels with Rock n’ Ride Talking Lotty! The unique dual action base on this toy transforms from a rocker to a push-along toy with wheels that slide from top to bottom, allowing baby to rock in a steady position or roll on-the-go. The brightly colored padded seat cushions make playtime extra comfy, and baby will love listening to the various built-in music and sounds.
This blog review is written by one of my friends, Sara, who reviewed the Rock n’ Ride Lotty with her 9.5 month old baby girl!
I was very excited to review the Mamas & Papas Rock n’ Ride Lotty here on Everything Mommyhood.com.
My daughter is 9 ½ months old and right away, she liked the rock n’ ride. The colors are vibrant and fun, which is very appealing. The seat has a lot of cushion so she’s very comfortable. At this particular age, I would not recommend leaving baby (even if you walk away, but can still see them) for any moment since there are no straps to secure them in. My daughter is strong enough to hold herself but I have to stay with her, in the event she gets distracted. Without the straps, she could easily fall over since she doesn’t quite touch the ground securely enough with both feet. I also have to do the rocking since she hasn’t mastered this technique yet, but I am sure, as she gets older and becomes stronger with her balance, she will be able too.
I love the wood frame because it gives this rocker a more sophisticated look, compared to, maybe a hard plastic material. I’ve had a few guests at the house and they have all given wonderful compliments to the look of this rocker. The wood frame has footsteps for added support, however, the foot rests are too far back so my daughter can’t easily set her feet on them yet. The antennae of this toy encourages baby to interact by pushing it to listen to phrases and songs but the music is just “okay”. It’s not as interactive as it would seem. There are only two phrases and two songs that are very short. Lastly, this toy can change from rocking to ride by adjusting the wheels, which converts very easily. This is a great feature, however, the ride part is push-along, with no ability to turn so keep this in mind, if you have a speedy little one. They will not be able to turn corners easily as this rocker is quite heavy for a baby to pick up as they go.
Overall, I think this is ideal for children right around 12 months. This is a lovely, simple rocker that’s colorful and clearly well made. I am looking forward to my daughter being able to enjoy it more as she gets a bit bigger as I believe she will fully enjoy it more.
Recommended for ages 9 months & up.
