We recently started potty training our 2 year old, she’s slowly catching on. Finding apps for my 2 year old isn’t always easy, but this wonderful app is a hit in our house. I had the chance to review the Me-ify Potty Star App for my 26 month old and she thinks it’s so much fun!
When you first start up the app, it will ask you what words you’d like to use for, ugh, well, the terms like peepee, poop, pee, etc. However you may say them with your child. I love that it’s so personal!
Next, we created a cartoon avatar of my daughter, which she thought was so much fun. You will get to choose hair color, eye color, skin color, even the shirt your kiddo is wearing. My daughter loves to play the games on it, as well as “read” the book that is catered just to her. She loves listening to the songs too!
There’s even a chart to track your child’s progress! I don’t think my just turned 2 year old gets that part quite yet, but she does understand the story and songs that are included with the app. The story definitely makes potty time easier, and is helpful in making my little one feel comfortable about using the potty.
Me-ify Potty Star is the all-inclusive potty training tool for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch! This comprehensive app features a personalized eBook starring your child, 5 interactive potty games, 5 original potty songs, a reusable star rewards chart and helpful potty training tips. Developed with parenting expert Julie A. Ross and created by the producers of PBS KIDS preschool television hits, Super Why! and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, this app offers a rich and engaging learning experience that is based on developmentally appropriate potty training techniques.
Check out this more detailed video on youtube about this wonderful app. I definitely give this app two thumbs up!
You can download the app on iTunes.
This app is super easy to use for both mommy and tot, and I love the parental advice that’s included within the app too. This is an app we will be using for sure. I give it two thumbs up.
