The Best Brands to Shop for Mother’s Day Mommy & Me Outfits

Mother’s Day is coming up, and what mama doesn’t want to match with her little ones? These days, the options are so much more diverse than matching dresses – and both sons and daughters have coordinated outfits to pick from. Here are a few of my favorite brands that offer Mommy & Me options – and even some that offer Daddy & Me as well!

PatPat

If you want a large selection of coordinating items for the whole family, check out PatPat. Their prices are extremely low, and they are constantly adding new styles. You can find their selection of matching outfits for the whole family here. I can’t resist a floral, so I was excited when PatPat sent matching yellow outfits for Margot and me. Mine is an off-the-shoulder midi dress, while hers is a cute ruffled romper perfect for summer. PatPat also sells coordinating t-shirts for dad and brother.

You can shop the yellow floral collection here.

The Spunky Stork

The Spunky Stork is known for its adorable graphic onesies, but did you know they have a range of Mommy & Me and Daddy & Me styles as well? I especially love this duo that’s perfect for any mom who loves to bake – the Baking Buff tee and Freshly Baked onesie! I like to joke that I’m a “procrasti-baker”… I often whip up cookies or muffins when I know there are other things on my to-do list I should be working on! My daughter Margot and I will get a lot of wear out of these, especially since they are so comfy. The Spunky Stork makes their baby and toddler gear out of organic cotton and hand-prints each item to order in the USA.

Milkmaid Goods

If you’re a mom (or looking for a gift for a mom), Milkmaid Goods is a great brand to know. I’m an especially big fan of their matching robes and swaddles for the postpartum period. Milkmaid Goods offers wrap-style robes for mom in a variety of prints and colors, plus matching swaddles, hats, and bows for the new baby! And if you’re past the newborn stage, they offer pajamas for older kids in the same patterns as well (starting at 2T).

Check out Milkmaid Goods’ Mommy & Me selection here. Be warned, their prints sell out fast, so if you see one you like, snag it! The print I’m wearing in the photo is already sold out, but you can find a similar one here.

When in doubt, thrift it!

I’m someone who will always advocate for buying secondhand – it’s better for your wallet and the planet! Just search “mommy and me” on an online thrift store like Poshmark, and you’ll be surprised by all the options, including dresses, aprons, and accessories. It makes sense that these items would be easy to find used – after all, kids grow out of their clothes so fast, right? Plenty of people buy matching outfits for family photos only to realize they no longer need to take up space in their closet, so you can buy them at heavy markdowns.
