New Free Service: Shoptagr – Saves You Time & Money

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Shoptagr. All thoughts and opinions are those of our own.
Shoptagr app notifies you when your fashion favorites go on sale.Ever browse clothes and accessories online and secretly pray you will find that amazing deal before everyone else gets to it? Well, I was recently introduced to a free service that does just that, Shoptagr. This service allows you to set-up sales alerts to notify you when your favorite fashion finds go on sale. It even lets you target your preferred size and favorite color so you can make sure you get exactly what you want at the best price. If you haven’t heard of it, now is the time to check it out!

Shoptagr app lets you know when your favorite fashion finds go on sale.

Signing up for the service was easy. You can use your email or your Facebook account. Once inside the dashboard, the site prompts you to install their bookmarklet. (The bookmarklet is a Google Chrome extension, sort of like the Pinterest button, that allows you “TAG” the items you want to track.) You simply click on the TAG button and it pulls up the bookmarklet and confirms whether you would like to add it to your Google Chrome as an extension. (I personally don’t use Google Chrome as I have Firefox, so I can’t attest how this works.)

Shoptagr has a bookmarklet you can install to your Google Chrome as an extension.

Once you install the bookmarklet, you can shop how you normally would. When you come across an item you would like to keep track of, you then make sure you go to the product detail page and TAG it. Then you can sit back and wait to be notified. If you want to see all of the items you have tagged, you can go to the online dashboard where you can find everything in one convenient place. The dashboard is clean and uncluttered, making it easy to navigate and use. (This pretty much works exactly the same in other browsers.)

I headed over to Shopbop to add some of my favorites, and it couldn’t be easier. Here’s this lovely Luna Messenger Bag from Marc Jacobs. When I pressed TAG from my bookmarks it brought up an easy to use pop-up with drop down menus. You can make your choices and then TAG it and it will add it to your Shoptagr to notify you when the item goes on sale.

After adding a few items, this is what my tagged items looked like on Shoptagr.

I have to check this out it sounds like a wonderful idea but I am skeptical because if everyone that signs up gets the deals sent to them its still possible to lose out on the bargain. Although I guess since you are not searching for the deal it still makes it easier to find the deals. Thanks for sharing !

I love Shoptagr. I tagged a pair of boots I wanted and then I knew when they went on sale!

This sounds like a great new service. I am, however, afraid that it might make it easier and more enticing to blow my budget.
