We’ve been stuck in the house for awhile now, and while we encourage the kids to go outside and play often, sometimes, like today, when it’s raining you need indoor activities. That’s why I think ProjeX is a lot of fun, as it incorporates the whole family, so it’s perfect for a little competition between everyone. Our girls enjoy going to arcades and playing video games too, so they were excited to start playing ProjeX!

ProjeX comes with the unit itself, two blasters, three target cartridges that are color coded red, white, and blue, stickers, and most importantly instructions.

It was super simple to set up. All you need is three AA batteries (not included), a table, and a blank wall. Set the table up about 5 foot away from your blank wall, plug your blasters in as well as your choice of image, turn the power on, “reload” your blasters, and the game will start. You can also choose different levels by pressing the level button on the unit itself before the game starts. Obviously, make sure you’re setting this up in a room (or even outside) when it’s dark or dusk because it will be a lot easier to see and bring the real arcade feel to your game night.

The girls (and my fiancé) had fun challenging each other to quite a few games. You can shoot targets, UFOs, or ducks. Targets are classified as “easy” which is a blue stick, UFOs as “medium” which is a red stick, and ducks as “difficult” which is a white stick. These are super easy to interchange, and they only go in one direction, so you can’t mess it up. The kids had no trouble setting everything up, and they’re 8 and 11.

We only set this up to play inside since it’s raining, but I think this would be a BLAST (haha get it) outside, set up projecting on the garage door when it’s dark outside. I recommend ProjeX and I love that it’s something different that our family can have fun with. ProjeX is perfect for family game night!
