I can’t believe it’s happening already but it’s time for Little Man to start potty training! Something I’ve learned with my children is that every child learns differently. My oldest was ready to start learning at the young age of 1 whereas my third daughter did absolutely not want to learn until she was 3. Just like with anything else in parenting, their personality determines how and when they learn and you have to work with your child on this!
Pull-Ups® has a great approach to potty training…the Pull-Ups® Potty Partnership! This partnership begins the first time your little one dons his or her Pull-Ups® Training Pants. This system is meant to bring you and your child together as partners, tailoring to their specific personality and how they learn. Instead of a destination to aim at, potty training becomes this adventure that you’re on as a team!
Pull-Ups.com has a potty training readiness quiz you can take to get customized information for this potty training journey. They’ve used research and observation to determine that there are five potty training personalities which are: the Puppy, the Owl, the Bear Cub, the Turtle and the Squirrel.
My son was the puppy, with some traits of a bear! The quiz results offered so many potty training tips based on his personality, like how to introduce Pull-Ups® Training Pants to him! The Pull-Ups® Potty Partnership offers tips, tools and advice to guide and support you as your child begins to learn about potty training. This includes potty charts, stickers and games, which really help to get them interested!
Pull-Ups® Training Pants are designed to help your little one with potty training because they’re similar to underwear, which seems to make them more fun, and they’re easy for the child to take off and put on. Little Man, like his sisters before him, was really excited at the idea of wearing new Pull-Ups®, especially with the adorable characters on them. We went with the Pull-Ups® Cool & Learn® Training Pants provide a brief cooling sensation when wet. I thought that this would be perfect to help him better realize when he has to go to the bathroom since it’s not a regular occurrence, I think it will really get his attention. He’s a busy boy so my thoughts were that a little cooling sensation would make him stop and think about it while he’s on the go, which can be a tough part of the training!
We received the toddler travel kit from Pull-Ups® that had some really great tools for not only travel, but potty training on-the-go! Our Pull-Ups® Cool & Learn® Training Pants with his favorite characters were a hit! Pull-Ups® Big Kid Flushable Wipes are especially good for traveling if you don’t have toilet paper but let’s be honest, they’re way more comfortable and clean than toilet paper anyway! I told him that all of these special goodies are treats for his learning how to go on the potty and he’s pretty excited!
We get really into potty training in our home because I feel like it’s so much more encouraging to make it like a fun big kid milestone! We had a potty party a few years ago where we gathered our friends who were in various stages of potty training journeys with their own children! We gave a package of Pull-Ups® to all of the guests in attendance and I even made funny little potty cupcakes. I’m no master cake decorator but they cracked the kids up and everybody was excited about this new adventure! Being a big kid is worth celebrating and that’s one of the tips I like to offer to moms and dads!
My boy is taking well to the idea of Pull-Ups® and his potty, especially thanks to all of the resources on Pull-Ups.com. As a parent, I appreciate that they always have activities and tools to help us out because I feel like Pull-Ups® Training Pants are already the best on the market with the stretchy sides and unique designs, so these are all a huge added bonus!

These Diapers Really are Adorable and I Can Tell You that I Definitely Didn't Have Anything this Cute When I was Growing Up! I Personally Don't Have Kids but I Have 2 Nieces & 2 Nephews So I Have a Lot of Experiences with Diaper Changing! Both of My Nephews & 1 of My Nieces is Already Grown; 1 is 11 yrs Old and 2 are 18 yrs Old but I Do Have 1 Niece That is Only One Month Old So We are Not Out of the Diaper Phase Just Yet! I don't have kids but I can imagine how helpful Pull-Ups are for parents when they are potty training their child. According to my mom I was really really difficult to potty train, for some reason I just wasn't getting it. LOL.
