I can’t believe it’s happening already but it’s time for Little Man to start potty training! Something I’ve learned with my children is that every child learns differently. My oldest was ready to start learning at the young age of 1 whereas my third daughter did absolutely not want to learn until she was 3. Just like with anything else in parenting, their personality determines how and when they learn and you have to work with your child on this!

My son was the puppy, with some traits of a bear! The quiz results offered so many potty training tips based on his personality, like how to introduce Pull-Ups® Training Pants to him! I thought that this would be perfect to help him better realize when he has to go to the bathroom since it’s not a regular occurrence, I think it will really get his attention. He’s a busy boy so my thoughts were that a little cooling sensation would make him stop and think about it while he’s on the go, which can be a tough part of the training!

We received the toddler travel kit from Pull-Ups® that had some really great tools for not only travel, but potty training on-the-go! Our Pull-Ups® Cool & Learn® Training Pants with his favorite characters were a hit! Pull-Ups® Big Kid Flushable Wipes are especially good for traveling if you don’t have toilet paper but let’s be honest, they’re way more comfortable and clean than toilet paper anyway! I told him that all of these special goodies are treats for his learning how to go on the potty and he’s pretty excited!

We get really into potty training in our home because I feel like it’s so much more encouraging to make it like a fun big kid milestone! We had a potty party a few years ago where we gathered our friends who were in various stages of potty training journeys with their own children! We gave a package of Pull-Ups® to all of the guests in attendance and I even made funny little potty cupcakes. I’m no master cake decorator but they cracked the kids up and everybody was excited about this new adventure! Being a big kid is worth celebrating and that’s one of the tips I like to offer to moms and dads!
