Broccoli Salad Recipe

This is one of my favorite recipes that I make. I don’t make it often because I am the only one that eats it. It’s super easy and super yummy!

Ingredients:
1 large head of broccoli
1/4 cup of red onion (I used white because I didn’t have red)
1/2 cup of raisins
1/2 cup of mayonnaise
1/4 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of vinegar (I used white, but you can use red wine vinegar)
8 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled

Directions:
Cut up the broccoli so it’s only florets.
Chop up the onion.
In a separate bowl mix together the mayo, sugar, and vinegar.
In a larger bowl throw in the broccoli, onion, raisins, and bacon.
Pour the dressing over the top and coat to mix well.
Refrigerate for a few hours before eating.

The longer it sets, the better it gets!!!

I love this stuff! I don't get it often because I'm the only one in the house who eats it. :o( I also add cauliflower and sunflower seeds, use honey instead of sugar and cran-cherries instead if raisins. Yum!

OMG, thank you for this recipe. I had it at work about 12 years ago, managed to copy down the recipe that was verbally given to me, and then proceeded to lose it. I never did find it and finally gave up. I couldn't believe it when I saw this post. I can't wait to make it!

That sounds like a healthy side dish. I may try it just out of curiosity. It sounds pretty good.
