I recently contacted Svan about reviewing one of their great products. They sent me the Svan Signet Complete High Chair in Mahogany with Turquoise High Chair Cushions, in exchange for doing a thorough review for them for my wonderful readers! This wonderful High Chair was recently featured on The Ellen Show during her Mother’s Day Show. This is a must have baby item!
Svan of Sweden began in 1996 with the Svan High Chair (now known as the Signet), designed by two dads, Kjell Hagström and Anders Fallman. The bentwood high chair, lauded for its sturdy, stylish, and adjustable design, quickly gained international popularity and the collection expanded to include products such as toddler tables and ride-on toys.
In 2011, Scandinavian Child, a leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative, functional and stylish children’s products, acquired Svan.
Our philosophy when it comes to life with children? Parents should never have to compromise. From the newborn stage to inquisitive toddler stage – parents should enjoy products that are stylish, functional, and safe. Svan’s smart, contemporary designs make caring for children easier, and allow parents to focus on the important things – like precious family time. We’re here to put parents’ minds at ease and create beautiful, quality products for the whole family to enjoy.
The Svan Signet Complete High Chair comes in a variety of colors; white, mahogany, cherry, espresso, and natural.
The best thing about this High Chair is that it will fit from approximately 6 months of age to a young adult. I know ours will be around for a long time.
As you can see the Svan Signet Complete High Chair is a great investment to make as it will last your child(ren) throughout the years.
I was so excited to receive ours in the mail and put it together for my 1 year old. It came in just a few pieces, manual/instructions, and a wonderful package of all the nuts, bolts, screws, and tools (all labeled) needed to put the high chair together.
This has to be one of the easiest pieces of furniture I have ever built. All I needed was a screwdriver, everything else was included. It literally took me 20-25 minutes to put it together from start to finish, with no help from my hubby. Usually I need him to hold something or tighten something, but not this time. I was really impressed with how sturdy this chair is, how easy it is to adjust/tighten, how great the quality was, and how well it matched our furniture.
I just love the turquoise color against the mahogany. It’s really beautiful and made from high quality Bentwood. The chair doesn’t have wheels, but it’s really easy to slide around on our wood floors as it has felt pads on the bottom, so it’s easy for me to move to the kitchen or to the dining room. It’s pretty light weight too and super easy to pick up on the back of the chair. I like putting my 1 year old in it, in the kitchen, while I’m busy cleaning, mopping, etc because it keeps her out of stuff. She seems very comfortable in it and doesn’t try to climb out like she has before in previous high chairs we have owned. The high chair cushion fits the seat well and easily wiped clean and is also machine washable. The tray is easily removed for cleaning and is dishwasher safe, you can also store the tray on the back of the seat, which is really convenient.
It’s really easy to adjust the seat and foot rest, on the back of the high chair at the top, and down below for the foot rest, there are notches cut out where the bolt/washer are, to adjust you just loosen them with the special tool that is provided, move to desired location and tighten back up. It’s that simple. You will also need to check these on occasion to make sure they are tightened as well for safety.
Ta-da! The finished product is beautiful! I love this seat for our toddler.

We have one of these, it's just shy of 4 years old and on to it's second child using it. We love it. It looks like there have been a few small changes to it in the last 4 years. Looks like good changes too. I do have to say my one complaint with it is the plastic tray cover. We stopped using it pretty early on as it was impossible to get on and off and started ruining the front of the wood tray. I hope they have improved on that. Overall it is a wonderful chair and I see it lasting for future generations.

That's amazing chair! You never have to get rid of your high chair at all and just use it when they get older! That's a great idea! Now why didn't I come up with that? jk I really like the chair and am going to check it out. i can save some room!
