Why Insurance is So Important!

Insurance

You may have stumbled upon the about me section of my website to find out that before I became a stay at home mom and a blogger, that I actually used to be a customer service representative for personal lines insurance. There are so many stories I can tell you about people who didn’t have insurance, or were even underinsured and when a catastrophe came along, it was devastating.

As a mom with a family now, insurance is so very important to my family. There are so many different types of insurance you can purchase, and believe it or not, for not a lot of money. Whether it’s home, flood, auto, motorcycle, wind, health, or even life insurance, they are all so important. If you have a lot of assets to protect, an umbrella policy may be right for you too.

A few years back our house was struck by lightning and it fried every single electronic in our home, from televisions, to my laptop, toaster, sound system, and even our air conditioning unit. Thank goodness for our home insurance as it saved us thousands of dollars.

Read on to find out more on why I believe insurance is so very important.

Why Having the Right Insurance Is a Smart Financial Move
When it comes to personal or family finances, things can get complicated. Financial troubles can be the cause of stress, arguments, and discord between you and your loved ones. A comprehensive plan to take control of your financial situation is crucial to saving time, money, and future difficulties. Working with a good insurance agency will start you on the right path to a secure insurance policy.

Insurance is a vital component to streamlining your family’s finances. Maybe you’re underinsured, uninsured, or simply have the wrong coverage. Take some time to assess where your coverage is falling short and learn how you can get your needs met with a new plan.

Talking to an Insurance Agent
One of the first things you’ll want to do is talk to an agent who will help you figure out what kind of coverage your need. You can expand your plan to include the replacement of your home should something terrible happen to it.

Home insurance plans differ depending on the agency and your personal needs. In any case, protecting your home and your prized possessions is a great way to prepare for potential disasters. You and your family can end up being financially secure in the event something gets stolen or destroyed. Thanks for the Wonderful Review on Why Insurance is So Important! I know that Insurance is very important! We have auto insurance, of course and we have home owner's insurance as well. We do not have health insurance other than Medicare. We do not have life insurance either. My husband says that we can't afford it right now. You are so right about finding out if you have enough coverage! When we were in our very bad auto accident by a hit and run drunk driver, we found out that we should have had more coverage. We just figured that our agent would call us to change it as time went on. We learned the very hard way! Thanks for sharing your wonderful review and your personal and professional opinions on Why Insurance is So Important with all of us! You know that I always appreciate all of your reviews!!!!! Thanks again! Michele :)

I agree with Linda Manns Linneman, insurance is important. If you're going to own a home you definitely need to have homeowner's insurance, just like owning a car. You should always insure big ticket items. You should also have health insurance, but I guess that goes without saying.

What an awful thing to have happen. At least no one was hurt! Insurance is important, I think by law it's required too. My husband disagrees with me on this but I even have no trespassing signs posted.Even though we are insured, I want it to be seen, so if someone uninvited comes on the property and falls. They shouldn't have been there.
