Summer is upon us which means we will be spending a lot of time outdoors having fun and trying to stay cool, what better way to do so than with the Little Tikes Slam ‘n’ Curve Slide! Your children are sure to love this generously sized, easy to setup, water slide with wading pool, climbing wall, and basketball hoop! Little Tikes has generously sent a Little Tikes Slam ‘n’ Curve slide to us here at Everything Mommyhood for my girls to enjoy, and let me tell you, they have been overjoyed since receiving this. We are out in the water almost every single day! While the Little Tikes Slam ‘n’ Curve slide is meant for children ages 5 to 10, my two girls who are ages 2.5 and 5.5 can use the water slide well without any issues.

We brought out the water slide when we had a get together a couple weeks ago with some of my daughter’s friends and they all enjoyed it so much, in fact they were using it for 4 hours straight! I’d say they had a bit of fun!!!

The Little Tikes Slam ‘n’ Curve Water Slide was surprisingly easy to set up right out of the box.

I was surprised that everything was in this one box. You receive the waterslide, anchor bag, storage bag, stakes, repair kit, blow up basketball, and blower. Now at this point when I took everything out of the box, I didn’t think the waterslide was going to expand to the size it did outside! I was REALLY impressed with it’s size.

To set up the Slam ‘n’ Curve Water Slide, you layout the water slide. The hose will connect in the middle around back, and the cord will need to connect to an outlet on the right hand side. I think that’s information that is really important to know before you even get the water slide out of the box. You will want to know where to place the water slide. The cord that connects to the blower is pretty lengthy and needs to plug directly into an outlet (don’t use an extension cord) as it has a GFCI plug too, which is important when around water. After you layout the water slide you will then hook up the blower on the right side. You just tie the connecting part pretty tightly around the blower where indicated. Now on the backside of the water slide you will velcro the hose tubing up (I HIGHLY recommend doing this BEFORE you turn on the blower as it’s hard to reach once the slide is inflated) where indicated on the slide. There will also be an air outlet tube on the backside that you will need to tie off tightly as well. (I forgot this step and thought something was terribly wrong, and I had to re-read the instructions again.)

Next you will stake the slide and the blower to the ground. Make sure you have enough room and pull everything tout so there’s no slack anywhere around. This insures that your water slide will stay in one place. Next fill up the anchor bag with water and connect it in the back to the connectors. Go ahead and turn the blower on at this point. Fill up the wading pool with water, and then connect the hose to the tube hosing in the back, which will then wet the water slide continuously while in use. You will notice air and some bubbles here and there, especially on the climbing wall, but this is normal! Now it’s ready to use!!

When the Little Tikes Slam ‘n’ Curve Slide is all set up, it takes up a great deal of room, so plan accordingly before you set it up. It’s ALMOST 11 foot long and 8 foot tall! (Actual dimensions are 10’8″L x 13’1″W x 7’9″H)

Here are some of the great features about the slide, I put them here in a picture, because it’s so much easier to see!

I really like that there’s a small wading pool, as my friend’s daughter that came over was too little to climb up the slide (she’s only 20 months), so she was able to enjoy the water in the pool while the bigger kids climbed up and enjoyed the slide. The climbing wall was fairly easy for the 5 year olds and the 10 year old that were on the slide. It took a bit of work from my 2.5 year old, but she got a handle of it fairly quickly.

This is a product I’d HIGHLY recommend purchasing. It will last for years to come as it’s made with great quality. We have not had any issues with it at all, and kids of all ages have used it at our home with no problem. It’s easy to let the air out and let it dry to store it as well, it goes right into the storage bag that was included with the product.
